"Who is she?" I asked a friend beside me when I saw a girl confidently smiling.

"Her?" My friend pointed to a certain girl, and I nodded.

"Oh?! Hindi mo kilala pre? Ay! Oo nga pala, transferee ka." I just looked at him, waiting for his answer.

"Sikat 'yan dito sa university natin, Shantal Yumi Mallari pangalan. Taken na 'yan 'tol," he added.

I shifted my gaze back to her. She's beautiful.

"I don't plan to interact or even court her. I just asked her name," I plainly uttered.

Well, what I'd said was true. I don't have any plans to court any other girls because I have a promise to a certain person, someone close to me.

I saw him shrugged. "Pero alam ba pre, nagustuhan ko rin 'yan. Ang perfect ika nga nila. Mayaman, maganda, matalino... basta nasa kanya na lahat. Kaso alam kong olats na ako diyan kaya tinigil ko na," natatawang sabi niya.

Tumahimik lang ako at nag patuloy sa sinusulat ko.

Pero hindi ko maiwasan na tignan siyang muli na nakikipag tawanan sa mga kaibigan niya.

She really has this aura that anyone who looks at her will be drowned by her beauty. Yung ganda na kahit titigan mo pa ng matagal ay hindi nakakasawa.

Binalik ko na lang ang tingin ko sa ginagawa ko nang makita kong may lumapit sa kanyang lalaki at hinalikan ang kanyang pisngi. They are too young for that, but it's not my business to mind them.

It was hard for me to adjust because I was suddenly transferred here. Graduating na ako sa high school tapos biglaan lang ang pag transfer ko.

But before I even graduated from high school, I was shocked when that girl whom I had just asked the name of last month told me that she liked me. Everyone knows it now since she doesn't keep it a secret to anyone, especially to me.

I suddenly remembered a scene that happened before she noticed me. It was her and her boyfriend breaking up. I actually didn't expect that I'd see it.

I was about to enter a coffee shop when I saw a familiar girl inside.

She was looking at the guy and another girl, and I saw her slap the guy. Based on the situation and their looks, maybe Shantal caught his own boyfriend cheating with someone, which was probably the girl beside the boy.

I can't hear what Shantal said even though I saw her talking to them seriously. Luckily for them, there are few customers inside.

I stayed outside the coffee shop because I might get their attention once I entered. But I can clearly see how fierce Shantal was while talking with them. She looks like they don't even matter in her life like they are nothing. She looks mad, but I can clearly see that it was just because of her pride.

I didn't realize that Shantal was getting out of the coffee shop, and it was too late for me to avoid her gaze.

Our eyes met.

I pursed my lips when I saw tears coming out of her eyes. She was different when she was in front of them.

I took a few steps forward, enough to get close to her. I pulled my handkerchief from my pocket to give it to her.

We both didn't talk. She just took it from my hands and left me while she was wiping her tears away using the handkerchief I gave her.

That was our last encounter.

I just concluded that she might remember me before, and now her eyes are on me. I know it is just temporary, so I didn't bother.

Time flew by fast. I am already a senior high school student. I chose an ABM strand because I know the industry I will enter is the business world.
