Venti's POV

"So just the venti sized Strawberry Coconut drink?" I asked the customer, smirking as I said my name.

"Yes please."

I put the order through, smiling as I directed her to the waiting area.

"If I get another Strawberry Coconut drink today, I'm gonna snap." Xiao complained behind me.

I giggled. "You're the one who agreed to be on that job today."

He rolled his eyes. "I know."

"You're not exactly good with the customers... so I'm better for the cashier job." I commented, turning away from him.

"You're a people person, that's for sure."

I smiled and blushed slightly, greeting the next customer.

On my break, me and Xiao had lunch together.

"You think he'll be good?" He asked me, watching the cashier who took my place for now.

I placed down my sandwich, examining him. "Have faith in him, Xiao. He might be new, but I'm sure he's good."

He looked back at me. "It's been a good few weeks since he's started here, and he's still a rookie."

I rolled my eyes. "Give him time. You were in his position once before too, remember?"

"Yeah but I didn't take this long to learn how to do this job."

"Not everyone learns as fast as you, you know." I said, smirking.

He sighed, continuing to eat in silence.

I scrolled on Facebook while I ate, coming across Scaramouche's recent post. It was a mirror picture, and he was shirtless.

My cheeks turned a light red. Damn...

I liked the photo, quickly swiping away so I can stop staring.

"Did you finish that history assignment?" Xiao asked me.

I nodded. "Yep!"

He groaned. "It's so lengthy."

I giggled. "Yeah, I know." I placed my phone down on the table after closing Facebook. "At least we were given lots of time."

He sighed heavily.

"Did you finish it...?" I asked, holding back a slight laugh, knowing all too well that he didn't finish it.

"No." He said, finishing off his sandwich. "I'll just... ask for an extension."

I giggled once more, shaking my head. "Will you ever learn?" I teased.

He smirked at me. "Probably not."

"Well, good luck." I said, laughing yet again.

I finished my sandwich, grabbing our garbage. "We should get back."

"Yeah." He said, standing up and helping me clean up.

We went back to work for a few more hours, then Xiao drove me home for the night.

I used my house key to unlock the front door of my house, walking in and locking it again. I took off my shoes and quickly made my way to my room to change. I put on a simple pair of light grey jogging pants with a white tee shirt.

As I was getting ready to go to bed, my phone buzzed. I picked it up, sitting down on my bed to read the message:

Scaramouche: Hey Venti
