Lauren sat at her desk scanning her wrist over some new files that begged for her attention the second she had arrived, with the vast amount of dancers under her control there was rarely a moment spare she had to offer when it came down to the usual routine of life.. after what came to be the end of the first hour of her day a familiar face peered around the door almost as unhappy as her own beaming grimace

"6am.. how long have you been here?"

"Since 5, why"

Lauren responded bluntly not bothering to look up at Fallon now inviting herself into the chair opposite her expensive desk, the open bottle of vodka sitting neatly beside her wrist an indicator of the kind of day she would have.. she wasn't a heavy drinker.. in fact she usually struck her hand around the bottle as an act of dominance although majorly trusting the bitter taste of its contents in soothing her overly sharp temper

"You have people out there to do this stuff for you, you know that right?"

"They don't work like I do Fallon, I need shit done and all they do is waste my time! I've had enough of that recently don't you think?.."

"It was your decision to keep the stray Lauren! I have no sympathy for you-

"Don't you fucking dare! Put this on me! Dinah put her in that show not me! I had all eyes watching while the media freaked out! I had no choice!"

The woman slammed pressing her pen aggressively into her paperwork while Fallon only curled her tongue up in front of her teeth offering a look of disgust the elder couldn't care enough to question.. their friendship a strange one on the outside given their usual bitching back and forth but one that withstood the rest of time like no other..

"It's your academy Lauren.. you had the choice! Let me not mention your staring through the window at her last night?"

Lauren shook her head with a furious sigh rolling her eyes out to the side of the room as she slumped back into her leather chair, the toned arms speed over either rest clasping tightly fighting back every ounce of the urge to throw something heavy at the speaking mouth

"My academy! Which means you don't get to sit here dictating what I should or shouldn't be doing! Friends or not I pay you to be here so keep your opinions to yourself unless I fucking ask huh baby girl?"

"Adorable! So.. why were you watching her LJ? I mean I'd understand a mistaking side glance but it took you at least 5 minutes to realise I was beside you!"

Lauren couldn't take the interrogation any further as she stood with a deliberate grimace to walk across the room, her fingertips grabbing for a file she more than didn't need to look at however begging for a simple act of distraction that came with the words scripted across the page

"Emma mentioned she was an incredible dancer! I failed to believe that true so I watched her! Emma was wrong! Her extension is poor and her upper body moves out of line with her feet! It was an observation!"

"Yet she is coming back today! Shocker!"

"Don't sit there and talk bullshit to me when you're the one who told my mom she was here in the first place! If you'd have just kept your dumb mouth shut I'd have kicked her out by now!"

Lauren grimaced slamming down the file once again before strutting back now in front of the desk to stand before the sitting woman now unfolding her powerful thigh to glare up.. blue eyes.. a devilish grin

"No Lauren you wouldn't have.. because you don't believe that her not being here was the right decision in the first place do you? You fucked up and can't deal with admitting it! As much as I dislike the little sewer rat, your face tells me that you don't!"
