A lab.
This is what I open my eyes up to every single day.
I'm trapped in this.... container thing.
I never understood why am here, and what is constantly happening, but I just know that once everyday there would be these "humans" that come in to run some "tests" on us.
Apparently I was known as Bracelety, as I always hear the humans saying that word around me.
It has always been confusing to me, but I just lived with it, as this has been my everyday life ever since I've been "born."
Eventually, I got tired of this.
There must be more to life than this! I told myself.
I looked around, trying to see what I can do to break free, but I couldn't find anything.
Guess I'll just have to use my strength!
I started running and banging into the wall of my container until my body started to hurt, but I didn't give up.
Right when I was about to give up, I gave one last kick, and finally got out.
Finally... I sighed to myself.
I jumped out of the container and made my first breath outside of it.
"Aaaaah, never knew this would feel so great!" I said to myself.
But my adventure wasn't over yet. I must now get out of the "lab."
But how....?
I searched the area for anywhere I could escape from, then suddenly started hearing a faint banging noise, going in a rhythm like pace.
I tip toed towards it and found a.... cube? Thing?
It was see through and it kicking at a vent thing.
I sneaked up behind them and taped them on the shoulder.
They jumped before sighing in relief.
"AAAH- Oh, phew, it's not a human, I got really scared for a second." They said.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"Oh, I'm Ice Cube, but you can call me Icy!"
"Hmm.... Ice.... Cube..... Cool name..... Ice Cube...."
"Um, what about you?"
"Me? Well, I think my name is Bracelety though that's what the humans called me."
We stood in silence for a moment before I broke it.
"We're you trying to escape through this vent?" I questioned.
"Yes! But it's too sturdy! I can't break through it!" She replied.
"Well mind if I help?"
"Sure!"
We pulled and pushed until the hinges of the vent broke free, so now there was a giant square hole for us to venture through.
"Hooray!!!" I cheered.
"We're not done yet! We still need to run through it!" She said.
"Oh yeah, right, sorry I just got a little excited there."
"It's alright, now let's go!"
We ran through the vent, and while we were running I started daydreaming.
Wow, Icy sure is cool, she kind, smart, brave, and strong! She is so great!
I smiled as I thought all about her until my thoughts were interrupted by a sudden light.
"Woah! What is this place?" I screamed.
"It looks like.... something, I think it might be a lake." She theorized.
"It looks pretty!"
"It sure does!"
We looked at each other before Ice Cube's expression saddened.
"You know, it was actually pretty fun escaping with you, it would've been a lot scarier alone." She said.
"Same Icy!"
"But now that we have escaped, it seems we may need to go our separate ways now...."
I looked up at her, feeling really horrible about this.
I don't want to leave her! She... She's my idol!
"But Icy! I don't want to leave you!" I exclaimed.
"Wait- really?" She asked, shocked.
"Yes! I don't want to be alone, my only company being myself."
She smiled to herself. "Well, if you want that then, I have a confession to make."
I looked at her with curiosity.
"I... love you."
I gasp. "I love you too Icy! I want to be with you forever!"
After that day, we both made a little house for us to live together in, never needing to worry about anything ever again.
