Trust (Part 5)

*Rantaro's POV* 

Me and Kirumi stayed in the pool for a little longer along with everyone else. Soon enough, we were all starting to get tired of swimming. Each left, one by one, leaving the water more still that it was before. 

"Hey I'm gonna go change I'll see you later!" I waved as I noticed that Kirumi also leaving the pool.

"Yes I was going to say that too aha. See you later Rantaro!" She gave a polite wave and left the pool, heading to the girl's locker room. I went into the boys locker room. I dried my self off and started to change. I grabbed all of my stuff and went out of the locker room. While heading to my dorm, Shuichi was walking next to me. We stayed silent for a while. 

"So, it's you and Kirumi huh?" Shuichi then moved his hat, covering his face. 

"Well, yeah. Is something wrong Shuichi? Did you like her?" I really hoped that was not the case. I didn't want to hurt his feelings. He looked up at me with a flustered face. 

"N-nn-no! T-thats not what I meant at all! And plus I'm-" He shook his head. "I-I'm just...suprised on how you can get along with people and build trust that quickly. Not a lot of people can do that, Rantaro." Shuichi started to talk more calmly. 

"Well, yeah I guess so. For me and Kirumi though, it was different. When I first met her, I immediately trusted her. I'm not sure why. She just seemed so...trustworthy." I then thought about myself again. Why would people trust me when I don't even know my talent? For all they know I could be the mastermind. It's easy for me to trust everyone else, but it should't be easy for them to trust me. 

"Well yeah aha its hard to believe that someone is putting us in this crazy situation."

"Hey, Shuichi, what do you think makes a person suspicious? I mean, your a detective, you should know." 

"They always say that..." Shuichi mumbled under his breath. He continued to talk.

"I- uh well it depends on the situation that your talking about." 

"Well, lets say in this killing game. What would make you think someone is the mastermind?" 

"um well if they are acting strangely around everyone or if they talk about this game like they..." Shuichi paused for a second. 

"Rantaro...are you trying to tell me something?" 

"No I just... want to find the mastermind and get out of here." We finally arrived at the dorms. 

"Oh well ok. We're here to help as well, ok?" 

"Yeah thanks Shuichi for your help."

"Yeah no problem!" Shuichi then entered his dorm. I entered mine and put away my swimsuit. I fell backwards on my bed, staring at the hanging light on the ceiling as it shines it's light onto my face. "Why does Kirumi trust me?" "Is she planning something... or is she testing me?" All these thoughts flow in my head like a river. I decided I should go talk to her. If I find out why she trust me, I might be more trustworthy to everyone else. Right now, they all are acting like friends, But when it  happens, trust will fade. I want to make sure that my trusting qualities... and Kirumi, stay with me. I went to her room and knocked. She opened a couple seconds later. 

"Oh hello Rantaro! Come in!" She opened the door and let me in. She was still brushing her hair. I sat on her bed, which looked like mine. Her headband was there. I picked it up and started to fidget with it. 

"Hey I just...wanted to talk." Kirumi's facial expression quickly changed. She sat down next to me. I put her headband back on her hair. 

"Is something wrong?" She grabbed my hand tightly.
