Date Ticket? (Part 6)

*Kirumi's POV* 

Rantaro left my room and shut the door quietly. After he left, I tossed myself onto the bed and looked up at the ceiling. I loved him so much that I couldn't stop thinking about him. He cared about me so much. It felt so strange to have someone actually love me. I never thought I would be in a relationship, but here I am. I took a book from my side table and started to read, but I just couldn't focus. All I thought about was Rantaro. The way he would talk to me and look at me just made my heart feel so warm. I decided to go on a walk instead. It might clear my mind. 

I went outside and walked along the path, touching the plants as I was passing by. I found it strange how it hasn't rained yet. I loved the rain back home. I would lay my head on my window, watching the droplets of water fall onto the ground. It felt almost like a comfort. Here though, it most likely wouldn't rain. I mean, we're in a dome after all, unless Monokuma could make it happen somehow. I walked around the school, looking at the strange buildings Monokuma had in construction. Suddenly, the monokubs appeared. 

"Rise and shine ursine!" They all said their usual catchphrase at once. After that, they all grouped together in a circle, whispering about something.  

"Umm, hello?" They stood there for a little more until the red one, Monotaro, stood in front of me. I looked down at him. 

"We are here to give you this!" He held out a ticket with a rainbow pattern on it. He placed it on my hand. 

"What is this?" The pink one, Monophanie, stepped up closer to me. 

"It's a date ticket! You can use it to bring someone on a special date!" 

"Yeah we had a couple extra so we gave em to you guys" Monosuke said as he fixed his glasses. 

"You may use it whenever you want, with whoever you want, and all of that without our father's presence!" Monotaro said. 

"Your fathers presence? So... you mean Monokuma?" Monotaro nodded. 

"Yep! He'll leave you and the partner of your choice alone until the ticket expires, which is 3 hours after you decide to use it." Monotaro seemed very excited. 

"Yeah you got 3 hours to do your dirty business! Don't that sound nice Haha!!" Monokid still kept making these kinds of jokes. 

"No Monokid! We gave it to Kirumi because we know she wouldn't do something like that! Right Kirumi?" Monophanie turned to look at me 

"O-of course not! I would never!" 

"Hmm well have fun!" They all disapered as they all said, "So long, bear well!" 

I held the ticket in my hand and stared at it. I instantly thought of him. I wasn't sure how I would use it though. I first thought of have a nice date with Rantaro, but we could use this ticket to investigate places where Monokuma would not let us, since he would not be able to bother us for 3 hours. I decided to keep the ticket and ask Rantaro about it later. He would know what to do. I went to the place where I once confessed my love to Rantaro. I sat down and wrapped my arms around my knees. Tilting my head up, the bright blue sky looked down at me. 

"Hey" Once I turned around, Maki was standing behind me. I didn't even notice that she was there.

"Oh hello Maki!" She came closer and sat down next to me. 

"I just...want to know something." She started to play around with her hair. 

"Oh sure thing Maki! What is it that you need?" 

"Well the truth is... I like Kaito, a lot. I want to ask him out, but I don't know how to. We barely even know that much about each other. I saw that you and Rantaro get along really well and I just...want to have a relationship like your's." Maki's face turned red. I put my hand on Maki's shoulder.

"Well spending more time with Kaito will let you know him better for sure!" 

"But... how do I tell him that I want to spend time with him?" I touched the date ticket that I had in my pocket. Me and Rantaro are already really close. It would be nice to have a date without Monokuma around, but again It wouldn't bother us if he was around. I took the date ticket out of my pocket. 

"Here. Have this." I handed the ticket over to Maki. Her eyes got wide with curiosity.

"W-what is this?" 

"It's a date ticket that the Monokubs gave me. It lets you have a date with the person of your choice without Monokuma's presence for 3 hours." She continued to look at the ticket. 

"No, I can't take it. They gave it to you. You can't just give it away." She shoved the ticket back into my hands." 

"Maki..." I held her hand and put the ticket on her palm. "I want you to use the ticket with Kaito. You two have a lot of potential. So take it." Maki stared at the ticket, and then looked up at me. For the first time, I saw her smile. 

"Thank you Kirumi!" I smiled back at her and stood up. As I started walking, I heard her say,

"H-hey wait!" I turned back and saw her holding two date tickets.

"These were stuck together." She handed one over to me. I wouldn't be surprised if the monokubs didn't notice this. 

"Oh well thank you Maki! Good luck!" Maki smiled at me and ran back to the dorms. I put the ticket back in my pocket and walked along the path again. All of the sudden Kaede came walking towards me.

"Hi Kirumi!" She was her usual, cheerful self. 

"Hello Kaede!" She smiled even more.

"I- well we have something to show you! Follow me!"

"Oh well, ok!" I followed Kaede to wherever we were going. I really wanted to know what she- or they  were planning.
