He didn't know what to choose. If he picked dare, they might make him do something involving Tasha or Alice or Riley—or something that would reveal his past with Jacob, for that matter. But selecting truth could be just as bad. Almost everyone here knew he was bi except George, and he didn't know how to tell them not to say anything.

"Truth, I guess." He slid over, losing the warmth of George's leg pressed into his and the heat that went beyond that.

They thought for a minute, and Alice whispered in Nathan's ear. He smiled wickedly, nodding. This would not be good. "Okay, do fuck, marry, kill for all of us," he instructed, "with two people per category."

His eyes widened. George, Nathan, Jacob, Alice, Tasha, and Riley. He had to sort between two of his exes, his current best friend-slash-crush, and three of his other friends. "Can I choose dare now?"

"No," Nathan said, laughing.

He hated that he would choose George for all three. Killed in a fit of passion for not loving him back.

"Kill you," he said, pausing. He would really choose Tasha for this one, but he didn't want to hurt her feelings. "And...I don't know. Marry...wait. You suck. I'm going to have to make this weird with someone."

Alice burst out laughing, drawing a chuckle from Nathan. "That was the plan," she explained.

"You're the devil's spawn. Okay, I would kill you too for that but I don't have enough slots in any of my categories. Kill Nathan and Riley, marry Tasha and Jacob, and fuck...Alice and George."

"What?!" George was flustered, face bright red.

Riley protested, "Why are you killing me?"

"Why are you marrying both your..." Jacob trailed off as Clay shot him warning eyes and glanced at George out of the corner of his eye. He shut up, reminding Clay of why he had liked Jacob so much. They still understood each other. "Never mind."

"Riley, you said not even half an hour ago that you didn't miss me when I haven't seen you for a full year. I take that shit seriously," he joked, distracting George from his secret.

"I was lying!" She giggled, shifting on the couch.

"Okay, I'll switch you with Alice then. This was her idea, after all."

"That's not really better, though," Riley jabbed.

"Well, fine. You're back in the kill category."

Tasha looked unsatisfied. He knew she'd wanted him to say...something else. Pride flared at the way his strategy to lighten the dare worked out. Except for with George. He looked over, nervous, to see him glaring at the floor. "George, you know it's just a game, right? Don't look so mad at me. I didn't say I was really gonna fuck you." He practically spit the last part out.

George looked back up at him, confusion and anger and what he thought was disgust in his eyes. That came out wrong, and he knew it. He winced.

"Well, it's George's turn now," Tasha said, twirling a finger in her blonde hair. "Do you want truth or dare?"

"Uh, dare, I guess." He leaned on the arm of the sofa, away from Clay.

Jacob interjected, "I dare you to kiss everyone here. Either that or you have to really kiss your favorite person here."

He looked desperately at Jacob. What was wrong with him?

"I'm not doing that," George said immediately, words sharp in his soft British accent.

"You have to now," Nathan explained.

"Well, I'm not." Clay held back laughter at George's stubbornness. They had no idea.
