A small dragon slunk toward the smoky ruins of her city. As she reached the top of the hill, moonlight shined on her golden feathers and beautiful forest-green scales. The gold key with colourful gems on it hanging on the black ribbon necklace she was wearing glinted, and she quickly hid it with her bird-like wing.

     What if they're still here...?

She slipped the necklace over her head, holding it in her talon.

"I enchant this necklace to help the creature who wears it find the truth of the past," she said, knowing that at some point some creature from the future would probably find it.

No dragons would come back here...

A stick snapped behind her, and she quickly shoved the necklace under a tumbled block from one of the buildings. She glanced over her shoulder, seeing a deer stepping away from a thin, broken stick.

Suddenly, something hauled the deer to the ground, and killed it swiftly. Then malicious eyes gleamed from the undergrowth, and a low and threatening growl sounded. The leaves rustled as it raced toward the dragon.

Oh, no... no, no, no! It spotted me!

She took off, flying fast into the night.

Please, creature of the future... find the secrets of the past, and bring truth out of the shadows.
