Eclipse awoke the next morning feeling fresh, her belly full, and her mood as high as the clouds. She ate with the Pacree, and gathered her pouches.
HavenFlight leapt onto the ledge above his den, and called for the Pacree's attention.
"Eclipse, you are welcome to live with us again. You are no longer exiled, and are forgiven for your crimes. But I have a feeling you do not intend to stay here," he said.
Eclipse shook her head. "I am going to live outside the territories with Sapphire. It would also be great if Rowan, Hailee, Rodin, Bee, Brooke, Ruby, and Starspeaker come with me..." she turned to her friends hopefully.
They looked at each other, and then all nodded.
"Very well." HavenFlight dipped his head. "You will always be welcome here, if you would like to visit or stay for a little while."
"Thank you," Eclipse said gratefully.
Then she turned to FeatherCloud and Solar, who were looking a little sad. She hugged each of them in her wings, saying goodbye.
"We'll miss you," Solar murmured. "Promise you'll come visit!"
"I will," Eclipse assured her. "I love you both, and I'll miss you too."
She said goodbye to Wind, DarkFlight, Meadowlark and the Drolgonets, and SkyChaser.
SunnyHeart and Breezy stepped up to her, and they both nuzzled her head.
"We love you like one of our own," Breezy said. "Remember that on your journeys, young one."
"May your mother's spirit always be with you," SunnyHeart added.
Sapphire gathered her belongings in pouches from SpringShine, Breezy and SkyChaser said a tearful goodbye to Sapphire, and then they were on their way.
But as soon as they couldn't see the camp anymore, there was a booming explosion.
