The night was long because I couldn't sleep. For hours, I repeated in my mind every word that had been heard last night, consuming a dull pain at the knowledge that Max was enjoying in another woman's arms. I was jealous.
Now that I knew my feelings for Max, it was getting harder and harder for me to resist his appeal, not only because he was born with a sex saw to seduce women, but because I fell in love with him. At first he was arrogant and grumpy, but then I found it quite amusing.
When I opened the door to his bedroom, I froze. Maximilian slept soundly on his stomach, naked as God had made him and stretched out on a huge bed that could hold three people. Not only did I remain standing on the doorstep in total shock, but also in tearing. I couldn't move, I just couldn't stare at the divine-looking body. His face was facing me, one hand tucked under the pillow that supported his head and the other stretched casually next to him. He had broad muscular shoulders, as well as the famous athlete. His back and legs were tanned, only his worked ass was pale. While one leg was tangled in the duvet, the other hung over the edge of the mattress.
"Will you stand there with your mouth wide open for a long time and stare at my bare ass?" his voice brought me back to my presence.
"Um, no," I stammered embarrassed, and all purple in my face ran away from his bedroom. I was angry with myself for being caught by him until I forgot what I was actually going for.
I burst into the kitchen stunned. The sight of naked Max drove me crazy, but I was even more excited about the idea of handing it out last night with the failed blonde somewhere on the sand at the beach. And who knows if only with her! Maybe she brought one or more more friends to help revive the sexy body that was lounging next to the room.
"What did he tell you?" Garred put me back on the ground.
"All right, go. If your father still changes his mind and wants to go to the golf course, I'll call you, "I replied.
"Yup," Garrett said. "Come on, then," he grabbed Jared's hand and pulled him toward the sliding door.
"Be careful," I shouted after them. "Just stay ashore and no diving!"
"We promise," Garrett replied, but I rather relied on Jared's promise.
"I'll take care of him," he assured me.
I stood in the doorway for a moment, watching them walk down a piece of our private beach, drinking coffee. Then I went back to washing the dishes after breakfast.
"Good morning," Max greeted me as he appeared in the kitchen. Happily dressed.
"Good for you too," I said, turning on the dishwasher.
"Did you want to please me?" he stood just behind me and my heartbeat quickened.
"Just don't tell me the blonde didn't have time to put you out of practice," I hissed, but I didn't want to know the details. Even now, I was sick of her absurd proposal.
"But it was at night," he whispered in my ear, and his warm breath immediately caused chills all over my body. "And now it's morning," he added, reaching for a bottle of water.
"Are you out of your mind?" I shouted and jumped startled from him, as if I had been burned, which of course amused him.
"No," he said, shrugging. "I just thought you wanted to have fun."
"God, you don't think I'm a bitch!" my voice broke and I had to wait for a rush of emotion to pass me by. "Just because I'm a widow doesn't mean I'm going to spread my legs anywhere," I chilled him coldly.
"But - but, what period did you get?" he raised an eyebrow and took a good sip of water from the bottle.
"That would be great, wouldn't it?" I smirked. "At least you'd give me a break."
