The first thing they did when we entered the hospital was trying to take our weapons away. I tried to resist instantly, refusing to enter a foreign base of operations without being able to defend myself.

"Leave the kid," said the coyote. "Just don't try to fuck him up,"

The deer scoffed and gave me my bow back. I cracked my neck in response and followed the trio, trying to make clear that I would not hesitate in killing any of them if they threatened us.

Nate and Maya instantly loved the place, obviously. It seemed that everything I had taught him over the past weeks vanished as soon as he crossed the door. I couldn't blame him, though, the place was very nice.

"Arrange a meeting with Pan," said the wolf to the deer, I still wondered why he dyed his fur that way, "If she says she's busy, tell her that we have the White Code,"

The deer immediately widened his eyes and looked at us with something much greater than fear. I couldn't quite tell what it was, but he knew we were important, and decided to keep going without asking questions.

"Miss?" said the deer, picking up a telephone. "H.Y.H. are back, and they have a possible White Code,"

A few seconds passed in silence, and the deer pointed with his head for us to come inside. The three people nodded at him, I remained still, just following their path and trying to avoid contact.

The place was huge, and we took several minutes to go from our position to whoever this Pan was. Stairs, corridors, gates, everything that could be on our path was exactly placed to make the trip longer, but after a long time, we finally got to see the big red door.

We entered it, and I wasn't so surprised to see the same female hyena from the ceiling standing in front of us, with a warming smile, sitting in front of a desk in a mildly organized office.

"So," she said with a soothing voice. "Who do I owe this pleasure?"

I took a step forward and showed her the book. Her eyes widened instantly as she looked at my facial mask. I took the black protection off, knowing that it would be easier to explain everything if she knew who I was from the beginning, so I showed her my furless skin and said:

"Mason Sauer. I know where the cure is,"

The hyena stared at me for 20 whole seconds without saying a word. Through her face, lots of emotions passed. Confusion, curiosity, excitement, and surprise. I didn't know if she was happy to know that I existed, but as long as I could finish the job, I didn't care. She took her calm expression again and continued:

"Well, I can see that you want to make things go on quickly. Where is it?"

"Somewhere safe," I said. "Sorry, Marthio told me not to trust anyone,"

"Well, he's right," she said, shrugging. "But if you don't help us we won't be able to help you,"

"I can help you. All I need is a lab and every book on biology that you have," I said.

My requests were weird for a lot of reasons, but I had a lot of time to think about during the ride, so I was sure that I was going to do this. The smile disappeared from her face.

"What do you mean?"

"My dad made the cure, and I'm almost certain that someone like him would leave a way to reverse-engineer it enabling someone to know the formula and recreate it. The big boys over there said they came for the Cell Synthesizer I, but they didn't give a shit about finding it, so I suppose you have a replacement," I said. "I can learn quickly. Give me time and resources and the cure is yours,"
