Request: Hey could you do a nico x hecate! Reader ? I would love to see how you write this!!! I often cant find many hecate things in the fandom so if you'd do this it would really mean a lot 💖💖💖

Long overdue, but here it is! We all need some Nico love every now and then. Especially after SOMETHING *cough burning maze cough* happened.

Again I tried to fluff, and I didn't put any pronouns for the reader in here. ( I think... I might have slipped accidently, but I don't think so.)

'So what did you want to show me?' Nico asked you as you two entered the Hecate cabin. 'Just a lil' spell I have been working on.' You smiled. 'You're not going to try it on my, are you?' he asked, tilting his head a bit to the side. 'Of course not. If everything goes right, it will just enchant this stone.' You held up a normal pebble. Nico nodded, and sat down on a bunk. There were two siblings of you in the cabin, also busy with spells and such. Or at least, that is what it looked like. 'Then why am I here? You could've just shown me the enchanted stone when you were done, couldn't you?' you blushed at his comment. 'Well, I, uhm, it's just I think that you being here helps? I know it is weird but yeah. Sorry. If you want to go you are allowed to.' You looked down, he was right. 'Nah, it looks cool when you do your magic thingies.' Nico reassured you. You immediately looked up and nodded. 'Right! Okay, just let me get my notebook.' What you didn't notice was a small smile adorning Nico's face. 'It helps when I am here, huh?'

'Okay! Let's go!' You smiled and Nico looked at you with interest. You wouldn't admit it, but you were nervous. A whole lot could go wrong, and if you messed up in front Nico? The shame would be something that would kill you on the spot. You took a deep breath and held the stone in your palms. 'Incantare:...' you started chanting. Everything was going right, until you looked up to Nico and stumbled over your words. 'Shat' was your last thought before there was an explosion. Not a big one, but still. The stone flew out of your hands, right onto Nico's face. As soon as the smoke started to dissipate and you could see again, you moved over to Nico, who was laying down on the ground. 'Nico! Are you alright? I am so, so sorry. I stumbled over my words and-' Suddenly there was a finger on your lips. 'Shush, I am fine. Even better now that you are here.' What did he just say? You moved back and Nico sat up. 'Have I ever told you I love you?' He said with the biggest lopsided grin. You felt a blush erupting, and looked him in the eye, and noticed a pinkish glint. 'No..? Nico are you sure you are feeling fine?' Nico nodded slowly. 'I hit you with a spell, didn't I?' Nico just kept staring at you.

The sound of the dinner horn reached your ears. 'Ah dinner. Let's go.' You said as you stood up. Nico followed your lead, but when you started walking he grabbed your hand. You stopped in your tracks and looked sideways. 'Nico?' 'Yeah?' He looked at you with so much love that you wanted to puke right there. 'Why did you grab my hand?' 'I didn't want to lose you.' You gave him a stern look. 'Nico, we are at camp. You won't just lose me like that. Seriously.' Nico moved a bit closer to you. 'Still...' he trailed off and moved even closer, his eyes going down and up to your lips and eyes. You just took a step back. 'Hold your horses. This is not what you want.' 'What do you mean?' 'You were about to kiss me, but I know you don't love me.' Your own words stung a bit, but you had to make sure Nico didn't do something he would regret later. Nico was about to object, but before he could you turned around and walked towards the dining pavilion. Nico trailed behind you.

As you sat down, Nico almost went to sit next to you. 'Nico, you aren't allowed to sit here.' Albaster, your half-brother told him. Nico glared at him. 'I can do what I want.' He snarled. 'Nico!' you exclaimed, he looked at you and his glare softened. 'Yes, my love?' 'Could you please go sit at your own table?' you asked him, in a sicking sweet voice. 'Everything for you, my love.' Nico shot one more glare at Albaster, before he walked towards the Hades table. 'So you finally got the guts to confess?' Albaster asked you. You shook your head 'I was trying out that new spell we found right? Well, I messed up and this happened. I think I accidently put a love spell on Nico.' 'Sweet.' Albaster grinned and you looked at him weirdly. 'I mean, you loooovveee Nico, so having him all over you must be great.' You sighed. 'It's just, I mean, it is my fault that he is like this. What do you think is the best way to fix it?' Albaster shrugged. 'Wait until it is over? That's what we always do when we mess up.' You looked down a bit. 'Alright, I will firstly inform Chiron though.'

After dinner it was time for capture the flag, and it surprised almost no one that the Hades cabin suddenly joined your team. Nothing too extreme happened, except that Nico didn't leave you out of his sight for the whole of the game. When the game was over (the opposing team won) you made your way towards Chiron. 'Chiron!' 'Ah, (Y/n), is something the matter?' You nodded a bit, as you noticed that Nico was standing right behind you. Maybe a bit too close. 'Well, I was trying out a spell today, and I slightly messed up.' You said as you looked down. Telling Chiron this was like confessing to your parent that you stole a cookie. Chiron rose his eyebrow, waiting for you to continue. 'So, I might have accidently put a spell on Nico.' Chiron looked over at the boy behind you. 'What are the effects?' he asked you. 'I think it was a love spell? He just keeps me close wherever I go. And he keeps me calling his love.' You told the half horse in front of you. 'I see. Well, there is nothing we can do about it right now. Just keep Nico out of trouble, and wait until it all passes.'

That night you were just silently laying in your bed. Right before it was time you had already needed to urge Nico to sleep in his own cabin. He didn't seem too happy about it, but he complied anyway. You were about to close your eyes, when you felt a drop in temperature next to you. You sat up and were about to inform your cabinmates, when you heard Nico's voice. '(Y/n)?' You grabbed his arm. 'Nico? What in Hades' sake are you here?' you whisper-yelled. 'I missed you too much, so I came here.' He answered in a low whisper, as he sat down on your bed. You grunted a bit. 'Can you please just go back to your cabin?' you asked him. 'Sorry, but I don't think I should shadowtravel back anytime soon.' You knew he was making that up right now, but you were too tired to fight him. 'Alright, you can sleep, uhm' you just realised that all the beds were full tonight, with either books or your siblings. 'fuck this. You can sleep next to me. Just don't try anything funny, or you will be harpy food.' You laid back down, as you felt Nico lay down next to you. You could tell he was facing you, when he put his arm around you. Nico pressed you closer to his body, and you could hear his heartbeat. You were way too tired right now to complain, and maybe, just maybe, you liked the position you were in right now. 'Goodnight, Nico.' 'Goodnight, (Y/n). Sweet dreams'

The next morning you woke up to Albaster looking at you sceptically with crossed arms. 'You better make sure only you get in trouble for this.' You were about to question him, when you suddenly you felt something move behind you. You looked and you saw a very cute Nico there. He was still half sleeping, as you looked back at Albaster. 'I am sorry, he just shadowtravelled here in the night.' 'Uhuh that's what they all say.' You just smiled, as you turned back to Nico. You shook his shoulder. 'Come on Nico, wake up.' Instead of waking up a grabbed your wrist and pulled you down. You landed mostly on his stomach, your face just above his shoulder. You again felt a blush on your face as Nico put his arms around you. 'How is the most beautiful person doing?' You were about to answer, when you heard Albaster yell 'I am fine!' You let out a small smile, as you wormed yourself out of Nico's arms. 'Nico, could you maybe shadowtravel back to your cabin? I don't want to get in trouble with Chiron.' 'Anything for you, mia principessa.'

Breakfast came and went, and you were just taking a small break of sword practice. 'Hey, where is Nico?' Piper sat down beside you. 'I asked him to get something for me.' You kept looking forward, not noticing Pipers concerned stare. 'Are you alright?' She asked softly. You pulled your knees up, and rested your head on them. 'No.' the word simply left your lips, and you wished that it would explain everything for you. But of course, human beings can't read minds. 'Why not?' Piper asked you, 'Is it because of Nico? I thought you liked the guy.' You put your head sideways, and looked at Pipers concerned face. 'I do, I really do. But not like this.' A sigh escaped your lips 'I mean, this is what I dreamed of, isn't it? Nico is all over me, but it doesn't feel right. He isn't like this because he wants to be, but only because of my stupid mistakes. These aren't his feelings.' You casted your eyes downwards. Piper smiled softly. 'Hey, you never know. Maybe the mistake only strengthen his feelings for you.' You were about to respond, but you saw that Nico was already coming back. Piper stood up, waved and walked away.

During the remainder of the day you just kept neglecting all the moves Nico made on you. Until, finally, night came. This time you immediately just kept Nico in the Hecate cabin, and he went to lay down beside you. Nico again pulled you close to him as you made yourself comfortable in his arms. 'I love you, (Y/n)' 'Yeah, sure.' You mumbled while falling asleep. What you didn't notice was that the pinkish glint in Nico's eyes just had disappeared. Maybe the spell really did strengthen his feelings, or maybe he just never had the courage to confess before.
