"Hey," You sat down next to Nico. "You look like shit."

"Thanks," Nico replied bitterly.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"It's nothing, just..." Nico gestured vaguely. "The spirits, they get annoying during these months."

"Can't you just... toned them down?"

"I can, but it tires me out," He looked up to you. "Which is why I look like shit. Gods, I need a nap."

"Okay," You stood up again, grabbing his hand and pulling him up.

"Wha– Okay what?" He blinked, stumbling onto his feet.

"You need a nap," You shrugged, "I can fix that, c'mon..."

You guided him back to the big house, making a beeline directly into the game room, and sitting him down on one of the large couches.

"Get comfy, I'll be right here," You smiled.

"Uhmm," Nico looked around in mild discomfort. "You mean you'll be watching me?"

"What? No!" You laughed. "I'm not that creepy, that's your job!"

"Funny."

"I'll be playing Animal crossing while you sleep, that way I can be here in case you have a nightmare, or if you need anything, you don't have to get up. I'm being useful, don't you think?"

Nico blushed slightly. "You don't have to do this, Y/N..."

"Nah, I know," You shrugged. "But I love you and I care about you, it's okay if you don't want to talk, but I still think you should try and get some sleep, I'll help you with the camp chores later, promise."

Nico wasn't the type to beam and melt around people, but you knew him enough to know that the little smile and the way his eyes would squint a bit meant that he was happy to have you.

You were happy to have him too.

"Rest in peace, Ghost king," You smirked, Nico snorted.

"Shut up, L/N."
