Hi! I really like your writing and I wondered if you'd make a drabble of Reyna×Nico friendship in Halloween!
I... actually have two ideas.
First prompt: Nico claims nothing can scare him on Halloween. Reyna is determined to prove him wrong.
Second prompt: It's Halloween and Nico and Reyna babysitting little chuck (Well, Hedge asked for a favor). But it doesn't mean they can't have some fun during Halloween, right?
I went with the first prompt! Bc I keep thinking of a tumblr post so I have to pull it out of my head somehow lmao -Danny
Reyna wasn't going to admit this plan had spent days of her life, but it had. Still, she couldn't wait to wipe that sly smile out of Nico's face. She could still remember the way he smirked and said 'I've been in Tartarus, Rara, you can't scare me.'
That little shit. She was going to get him.
So when Nico decided to pay a visit to New Rome, in Halloween, out of all nights, she was ready.
"Reyna?" He asked, entering the cafeteria. "Is everyone here?"
Reyna pulled the wire and made the door close swiftly, leaving them in complete darkness. Then she rushed over to stand in front of him and turned on the lights with the remote she was holding.
She let out the best cry she could muster, lifting her arms in what she thought looked quite scary.
Nico's eyes travelled up and down her figure. Then he smiled.
"Hi," He said.
Reyna blinked, gaping at her friend.
"Are you kidding me?" She hissed. "I spent days messing with the lightning and putting together my costume and that's your reaction? Hi?"
"I told you," He chuckled, walking up to the fridge and grabbing a Gatorade. "I just don't have that jumpscare muscle in me."
Just as he finished his sentence, the toaster pushed up two pieces of bread. Reyna had put them there a few minutes before while making snacks. She had forgotten about them.
Nico let out a short, high-pitched scream and jumped away from the toaster.
Reyna's chortles attracted a few campers that were passing by outside the cafeteria.
"Is everything okay..?"
Inside they found Reyna, kneeling on the ground and holding her ribs from all the laughter, and Nico, red as a tomato and glaring at the toaster.
"Uhm, nevermind," Mumbled the camper, closing the door quietly before walking away.
