In a Big, Big World

Chapter 5

        The next morning I was getting ready for school and about to go downstairs for breakfast when my phone buzzed. It was Kelly.

"I'm coming to pick u up. 15 minutes" -Kells

Great. Now I had to finish getting ready and eat breakfast before my best friends showed up. I went downstairs and poured me a bowl of cereal. I sat down on the couch watching cartoons before I heard a knock on the door. I got up, put my bowl in the sink, and grabbed my bag. Kelly was standing in my door way with a black skater skirt and a flower shirt. I looked down at myself, at my blue ripped jeans and my Sleeping with Sirens t-shirt. She always out did everyone.

"Hey Kells,"

"Hey! Lets go i wanna get to school early today!"

I look at her puzzled, why did she want to get to school today early? She actually never wanted to go to school. We got in her car and drove off.

"So, you remember that guy at you saw at the diner?"

I remember him all right. His eyes and smile. He was printed in my brain. I stayed up all night, which i regret because I was terribly tired. But all I said was,

"Ya i guess," shrugging my shoulders. Kelly looked at me strangely and knew me better than the answer I gave her.

"Raven! I know when your lying to me. They way you looked at him last night, it was noticeable. You remember him all right," ranted my best friend.

I knew she was right. I wanted to get to know him much much better. Kelly was talking, but I don't know what about. Kristian I think his name was. His face was behind my eye lids. His lip piercing was hot and his hair, the nice brown color. His eyes, oh god, where do I start. They looked into your soul and could convince anyone if you just stared. It was like reading a book. So full of memories and stories i wanted to read. They were exciting but held painful memories as well. I don't even know how but I wanted to read his eyes like a romantic novel.

"Raven?!"

"Hm?"

"Have you been paying attention to anything I have been saying?"

"Uh not really," she sighed at me.

"I said I saw him going into the school when I passed it and I wanted to come pick you up so you could get a chance to talk to him."

I swallowed hard. Oh god. What if I said something stupid? What if my breath smelt bad? I'm such a mess up some times.

"Kelly! I appreciate the effort but I cant just up to and tell him Hey! I think your the most beautiful human being on this earth and I would like to get to know you!" I ranted trying to not yell because I knew she only trying to help.

"Raven, you got this! Your the girl who gave an amazing blow job in 7 minutes in a closet! That takes a  lot of confidence!"

"Kelly!" I did not want to remember that. I think I was drunk but I don't know. We pulled into the school and we got up. We walked into the door and went straight to the library. There he was, writing something down in his notebook from a big book he had on his right. Him looking back and forth while writing.

"Kelly, he looks busy we shouldn't disturb him." I started to walk away when Kelly caught my arm and whispered in my ear.

"Raven you going to talk to him."

"Kelly, no! I cant" I loosened her gripped and walked out. I started to walk to my locker, Kelly running down the hall trying to catch up.

"Raven wait!" She yelled.

I stopped. "What"

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have pushed you into something you don't want to do." she apologized.

I accepted and we went to our lockers. The halls started to get busy and the bell was about to ring. We started to talk about a project in Science when he walked up to us. Yes ladies and gentleman, he walked up to us.

"Hey I saw you in the library and you looked like you wanted to say something. I'm Kristian by the way." he said in a low voice. God it was sexy. I couldn't speak, so I looked at Kelly.

"Im Kelly, and uh we were just looking for the librarian but we couldn't find her!'

"She was at the desk..?" he said kinda confused.

Crap I thought we saved it.

"Ah yes, well this is Raven. We saw you at the diner last night and um she wanted to tell you something!' Oh no she did not just do that.

"Kelly.." She had run down the hallway leaving me with Kristian.

"Uh hey," I smiled at him trying not to be awkward. He smiled back and I wanted to melt. I couldnt kee my eyes off of his lips and his piercing.

"Raven right?" I nodded, he continued. "You have a nice smile and I love your shirt." I was speechless. When I found words I said,

"Uh ya thank you for the compliments" I said kinda nervously.

He laughed, "Well Raven, I hope your not busy this weekend because I would love to take you on a date."

Omg did he just ask me out? Holy shit. This was a dream. I loved this guy who was right in front of me and I did not even know him.

"Uh, ya, yes. I mean I am not doing anything and I would love to." Im already messing things up.

"Alright great, I'll find your number and ill pick you up. I think you'll love it" He smiled and walked away. Did he mean he already know where we are going because that would be amazing and totally hot. He had an affect on me that I couldnt explain.
