Chapter 8:Waterfall

After the whole date with Papyrus you then made your way back where you were. You were about to wait for Sans but it seemed he was busy sleeping in his room. You sighed and crossed the bridge. The tall grass was hard to maneuver around. You made the mistake of looking up and seeing papyrus talk to what seemed like a big scary knight. You couldn't make out their conversation but it seemed like papyrus was trying to persuade the knight for something. The knight remain dead quiet before giving papyrus a point as to say go home. You felt bad for papyrus as what ever he said must have been important. The knight was about to walk away. Sudden the grass behind you moved as it alarmed the knight as they threw a spear at whatever was making the movement. The knight was watching the grass like a hawk. You stayed still as the knight saw no threat and walked away. You let go of the breathe you never knew you held. You walked out the grass, as a small monster with no arms walked out with you.

"Yo did you see that it was Undyne." He said.

"Hey kid you're not scared of that?"

they shook their head.

"Undyne is one of the coolest," the kid said star eyes. "Yo their the best."

You shrugged and continued on your journey home.

You again felt that weird sensation of being watched. Only this time it felt like it was some sort of predator seeking you as their next prey.

Could it be that knight from earlier. You thought.

You sighed pulling out you guitar strumming a soft tune.

You stopped strumming when you got to what looked like an entrance to a cave.

Atop of the enterance was the same knight from before.

"Seven," they spoke in a deep voice. "Seven souls is what we need to break the barrier and be free."

They then took off their helmet to reveal it was a fish lady.

"Six," she said. "Six souls is what we have currently."

A spear appeared in her hand.

"Listen human you are to give your soul or FIGHT ME?!"

You had no time to react as you were currently in a battle against the knight. You dodge her attacks as best you could. Once it was your turn you fled running into the cave. This seemed to anger the knight known as Undyne from that monster kid. They she was chasing you down the corridor. Undyne was running after you. You maneuvered through floor boards as giant spears shot up from everywhere. You stopped when you saw the end of the boards.

Shit! You thought.

Having no choice you looked back as you put your fist up ready for a fight. Suddenly the same kid ran up to you.

"Uh yo have you seen Undyne?"he asked.

You pointed to behind him to which he turned and jumped with glee.

"YO it's undyn-!"he lost his footing and fell to the edge.

You tried to grab one of his foot, but he fell so fast you couldn't grab him.

Undyne however jumped down to grab the kid from danger. You took this as an advantage to run back the way you came. Not looking back in fear that Undyne caught wind of you escaping you made it away from the board and deeper in the cave. Just when you thought you were safe you could hear the loud thumps of Undyne's footsteps hitting the floor boards.

You ran quick to what seemed like an enterance to hot land. Suddenly you got a call from papyrus. You stopped and answered it.

"Hello human you should really meet my friend Undyne she's the best." Undyne caught up to you as you were on the phone.

"Uh sounds good Pap can't wait." Undyne waited patiently to attack you since you were on the phone.

"Oh goodie I'm sure you two will be great friends!!"Papyrus said.

You hung up the phone and ran off further angering the fish knight. You ran to see sans sleeping at his hot dog stand. You shook him for help but he didn't budge. Undyne seemed to be getting closer so you ran. Undyne however seemed to stop at Sans further getting angry chasing you. You stopped by a water carton tired from running. Undyne however looked like she was in worse shape.

"Armor...hot...can't....stop...."Undyne said as she fell to one knee.

Later she collapsed to the ground overheating. Feeling pity for your attacker you got a cup of water and pour the water on her. Undyne awoke feeling the coolness on her face. She notice you had pour water on her. Not speaking a word she got up and looked back to you as a thank you of some kind and walked away.

Well sheesh she could have said thank you at least. I walked back to Sans to tell him thanks for not helping. Once I got there Sans was up and two monster were there too. I walked up and Sans noticed me.

"Hey (Y/N) glad you didn't die."He said jokingly.

I just glared at him

I walked back to waterfall cause Papyrus said he'd introduce me to this Undyne person hopefully it's no relation to that knight that tired to attack me.
