Ch4: Puzzles Glory!

As You and Sans walked through what he called Snowdin. You learned that Papyrus is a huge fan of this big time star in the underground who calls themselves, Mettaton. Sans then told you that many children came down before you. This made you stop.

"is everything okay?"Sans asked.

"You're telling me that you killed human kids and trapped their souls?!"

"Nah me and my bro don't do that," Sans shrugged. "the king does!"

You did a double take.

"What?"

"AND NOBODY STOPS HIM?!"

"Well, that is the only way to break the barrier freeing us!"

"Barrier?"You asked.

"Yup," sans said continued to walk on.

You followed close behind.

"Wait so this barrier is what's keeping you monsters from the outside world?"You asked confused.

Sans nodded before shrugging again.

"Legends say that a fallen angel will come and free the monsters from the barrier," sans scratched the side of his skull. "Least that's what the books say but you know I'm too lazy to read."

You sighed.

As you continued onward Sans once again disappeared as you continued walking only to be met with sans next to papyrus once again in the clearing. The middle of the clearing was a piece of paper held down by a rock.

"Now human be prepared for my brothers puz, "papyrus looked over at the middle of the clearing. "Sans where's your puzzle?"

Sans shrugged and pointed to the paper.

"It's right in front of you bro!"

"Sans that's a piece of paper?!" papyrus said irritated.

You shrugged and walked up to the paper. Picking it up you noticed it was a junior jumble an easy one at that. You looked over at the skeleton brothers then back at the paper thinking this was some kind of joke. None the less you placed the paper back where you found it and walked up to them.

"Ugh Sans your puzzle didn't work?!" papyrus yelled.

"It didn't," sans sighed. "Knew I should've used today's crosswords instead!"

Papyrus looked at Sans like he just lost all the faith he had in his brother.

"Crosswords?!"He said offended.

"Everyone knows junior jumble is far the hardest?!"

Sans sighed.

"You mean that easy peasy baby puzzle," sans said. "Crosswords is far harder!"

"Human, you have to settle this once and for all which is hard crosswords or junior jumble?"Papyrus asked.

Confused you shrugged.

"Junior Jumble?"You said as a satisfied smirk appeared on Papyrus face.

"See Brother even the human thinks that junior jumble is the hardest puzzle to solve!"

Papyrus hearty laughed and ran off again leaving a confused (Y/N) and a happy yet lazy Sans.

"Hey kid thanks for saying that junior jumble is the hardest just to appease my bro," he sighed. "Man isn't my brother cool?"

You nodded.

As you and Sans continued walking you weren't aware of a camera pointed at you watching the whole scene. Somewhere in a lab, a certain rectangular robot stroked its imaginary chin in interest.  Back with you and sans you bother appeared towards a disgruntled Deer covered in Christmas ornaments and lights. Feeling sorry for the deer you took the lights off and the ornaments. The deer smiled at you ((Alastor from hazbin hotel anyone....no?....I'll see myself out!)) you smiled back and continued walking Sans baffled by your sudden act of kindness.

"Hey uh, what was that for kid?" sans asked.

You shrugged.

"He seemed unhappy so I helped him alittle bit."You replied.

Sans gave you a lazy smile to which you returned the smile. 

You and sans continued walking along the path until sans bid you farewell and teleported away. You still weren't use to it but you tried. as you walked on you stopped at a table with a plate of frozen spaghetti on it. next to the frozen dish was a note and a microwave? The Note read as followed: 

                   Dear human,

                                               IT IS I THE GREAT PAPYRUS SPEAKING TO YOU ON THIS PAPER. ANYWAY                                                     I'M SURE YOU WON'T GET PAST THIS DELICIOUS PLATE OF PERFECT                                                           SPAGHETTI MADE BY ME MASTER CHEIF PAPYRUS. ANYWAY I'M SURE                                                           YOU WON'T RESIST SUCH A DISH. THIS IS MY PUZZLE                                                                                         NYEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE

                                                                                         P.S. if you choose to eat it could you maybe leave me                                                                                            some?

You shook your head as you placed the note down. You grabbed the plate but it didn't budge. The plate was practically frozen to the table. You sighed and made your way down the path. Surprisingly some monster's were either too shy to encounter you or they were being too cautious. You just shrugged, before you felt sorry for them. they were all stuck here underground for so many years. if you were in their shoes you too would be scared and sad. You snapped out of your thoughts as you saw Sans and Papyrus at the end of the other side of the bridge.  

"Now then human the final puzzle!"Papyrus had said. 

you and sans looked at the bridge as loads of contraptions appeared under and over the bridge. One included a tied up dog? You weren't gonna question it. Papyrus had a button on hand.

"And with a push of this button the puzzle will begin!" he said.

Nothing happened.

"uh, Pap it doesn't look so beginning to me?"Sans commented. 

"Hush up Sans I'm gonna push the button," He said looking at the button. "right...about....now"

Nothing happened again. 

You looked at Papyrus as he huffed. 

"Pap is everything okay?"

"Yes Sans everything is fine," Papyrus pushed the button under the begin button. "I just think this isn't it away it goes.

The many contraptions disappeared. 

You were really confused but glad you didn't have to deal with that death trap. 

"Human you're welcomed to replenish your health for our battle!"Papyrus said. 

Then he proceeded to run off leaving you and Sans again.
