Ch 5: Snowdin

You walked with Sans to a small quiet town some monsters were out and about. you were surprised since most of the monster you've encountered looked like they didn't want to come out to greet you.

"Hey sans," you said in confusion. "Why was it that the other monster were scared of me?"

Sans scratched his head er skull in confusion before shrugging his shoulder.

"Dunno maybe they were too shy to talk to you!"

You sighed.

"I guess so!"

Sans scratched the back of his skull.

"Hey tell me again about this band you have up on the surface?"

You smiled at Sans.

"Well it was cool!"

"Was?"Sans asked as you nod your head.

"Let's just say me and my ex-best friend had a falling out,"you turn your gaze at Sans. "She was sleeping with my now ex-boyfriend!"

Sans nodded.

You sighed.

"Hey if you want we could be friends,"sans said as his eye sockets widen. "Hey you know who'd be a perfect friend for you Papyrus!"

You stared at Sans in wonder.

Sans coughed as you guys made it to a cafe/Bar of some sort. The sign on the building read 'Grillby's' sans grinned.

"Hey (Y/N) wanna grab a bite to eat before you 'fight' my bro?"he asked.

You were about to decline when your own stomach interrupted you.

"I'll take that as a yes!"Sans chuckled.

As the two of you entered the building there were a handful of monsters already in there.

"Hey everybody!"Sans said as they all greeted him.

You were reluctant to walk beside Sans. He seemed to noticed, but was much too lazy to walk back by your side since he had sat down.

"Hey (Y/N) come sit down next to me?!"he hollered at you.

This broke you out of a trance as you quickly walked over to Sans. As you sat down a loud fart came from the seat you were sitting on. You saw Sans smile widen as he laughed so hard tears came out of his eyes.

"I didn't think you'd sit there?!"he cackled.

You were not having it, as you looked away Sans could see that this was no laughing matter.

"Uh hey sorry it was just a joke,"he scratch the back of his skull. "I just thought you need a little laugh is all."

You sighed before letting a little giggle out.

Your laugh made Sans smile. He stretched his arms lazily as your little laughing fit ended.

"You know kid,"he said as he leaned on the bar table. "Your alright for a human that is."

You smiled and patted his back.

"And you Sans are a good friend," you sighed. "Which is weird because I never had a good friend before."

Sans lowered his eyes at you. Suddenly Grillby came over to you too.

"Hey Grills I'll have uh," Sans looked over at you. "Hey kid whatcha wanna eat?"

You looked at the menu and say it was either burgers and fries or (F/F).

"I'll have (F/F) please!"

"Hey that sounds pretty good but I'll have a burg Grillbs."Sans said.

Grillby nodded as he disappeared to the kitchen.

"So kid tell me more about what happened with you and your ex best friend?"Sans said as you rolled your eyes.

"She was horrible she had the voice of nails on chalkboard."you said recalling a time your ex best friend wanted to be the lead singer.

"That and she would always show up late and blame it on us being early," your hands tightened into fist. "Not to mention she slept with my boyfriend and started to play the dumb blonde card!" ((To any reader who is blonde I am truly sorry! 😔))

Sans seemed to notice your tension for your (E/B/F). If he had met her he'd give her a bad time.

"Hey you don't have to tell me anymore if you don't want to," he said placing his skelehand on your shoulder. "Don't strain yourself alright?"

You nodded.

As quick as a wisp Grillby came out of the kitchen and placed Sans' burger and fries along with your (F/F) in front of you both. Sans snickered as he reached for the ketchup.

"Hey kid want some ketchup with that?"you glared at him, as he just gave you an innocent smile.

You grabbed the ketchup and inspected it. Once you saw nothing was wrong with it you tried to pour a little bit when the lid fell and a load of ketchup landed on your food. Devastated you looked at what once was a perfectly delicious food now ruined with the fiend that is ketchup. You heard Sans let out a snicker.

You looked over at him and saw that he was smiling. You sighed how you missed seeing a friend smile. Once Sans' laughter died down he wih nuu no wiped a tear from his socket.

"You sure are amusing kid!"he spoke with a chuckle.

You rolled your eyes as you glared at sans.

He sighed before sliding his food to you.

"Here you have it I'm already stuffed."he said patting his belly.

You shrugged occasionally taking a French fri out to eat it. Sans cracked a few jokes that made everyone in the place laugh.

After wards you got up and waved bye to sans, whom was asleep. You sighed before walking past what seemed to be Sans' house. It looked quite homey for a house he had shared with his brother. You walked down the road where you say a wolf pick up ice and throw it into the river. Not the weirdest thing you saw while on this adventure.  You kept walking until a deep thick fog surround you. Cautiously you continued walking.
