Ch3:two Skeletons

You had walked through the door with much sorrow. You knew no matter what you said Toriel would still not come with you. So there you were walking through this deep dark forest. In your way was a big log. You climbed over the log and continued forth, that was until you heard a snap. You turned back to see the log snapped in two. Fearful of your life you ran, at the corner of your eye you could've sworn you saw a silhouette following you. You stopped at a makeshift gate that seemed pointless since the bars were too wide. Suddenly footsteps could be heard behind you. Out of fear you continued to look forward. the footsteps seem to stop right behind you.

"Human," a voice said behind you. "Don't you know how to greet a new pal?"

This then confused you.

"Turn around and shake my hand!"

You turned around to see the same silhouette. Only this time it stuck its hand out for you to shake it. You grabbed its hand only to hear a farting sound come from its hand. Dumbfounded you retract your hand and look at the person in front of you. It was a small skeleton around your height. They wore a blue worn out hoodie, a white shirt underneath, shorts, and it seemed like they were wearing slippers in the snow? It's smile never ending as it looked at you.

"Heh, the old whoopie cushion in the hand trick a classic!"It winked at you.

"Anyway you're a human huh," You were still confused as to how a skeleton was able to walk and talk like a normal human being. "that's nice actually I'm supposed to keep watch for one just like ya but Nah!"

"Now my brother Papyrus is a human hunting fanatic," he looked behind you to see another skeleton coming into view. "actually I think that's him over there quick go through the gate."

You turn and look at the gate and back at him unsure if this was a prank or you hallucinating from frostbite.

"Go on my bro made the bars too wide to stop anyone." As you both walked through the gate you realized you were not hallucinating

"Quick behind that conveniently shaped lamp!"

You walked to the lamp and hide behind it.

*Sans' point of view*

As the human hid behind the lamp my bro came over to me mad.

"Sans!" he said.

"Sup bro!" I said placing my hands in my hoodie pockets.

"You know what's up brother," He started "It has been eight days since you last recalibrated your puzzles!"

This lecture again can't say I didn't see it coming I looked over at the lamp.

"what in underground were you doing brother?" he said as I smiled.

"staring at this lamp wanna look." I saw the human stand still.

I heard a sigh coming from my brother.

"how is it that a cool person like me could have such a lazy brother like you sans?" he said.

"And to make it worse what if a human comes by Sans?"

"then you can catch it!"I said still looking at the lamp. "maybe the lamp can help you light up your life?"

Papyrus groaned as I smiled.

"Not now brother we have to keep watch for human's only then I the great papyrus will be popular and be in the royal guard!!"Papyrus said excitedly.

it doesn't really matter for me but hey I'd do anything to keep my bro happy.

"anyways you need to put more Backbone into your puzzles sans!"He let out a laugh only to stop and see my smile widen.

I am so proud of my bro.

As he left I looked back at the lamp.

"Okay, you can come out now!" The human then stepped out.

"What was that for?!"They practically shouted.

*narrator point of view*

"What was that for?!" You practically yelled at the small skeleton. 

He shrugged as You sighed. 

"Alright, you can go now before he comes back and you have to sit through all my humorous puns!"He said as you groaned.

As you were about to walk away from the skeleton he stopped you. 

"Oh wait actually," You looked back at Sans. "My bro has been having trouble making friends and seeing a human might make his day?"

"Is he harmful?"You asked.

"Nah his as harmful as a baby,"Sans looked up. "Although there was that one time a baby beat him in that one snail race."

You let out a little laugh. 

"I'll try to make his life better sans!"

Sans' smile seemed to grow. 

"Wow thanks, human see you around!" He then proceeds to go the other way to the gate.

"Oh wait, Sans, you're going the wrong, "As you ran after him he disappeared like a ghost. "way?"

You shrugged it off and walked on. 

Minutes have passed and the same feeling of being watched was exactly how it was in the ruins. Only this time you were on your own. You shook it off and continued on route through the underground. Suddenly you see a group of dogs. 

"Stop?!"They said getting in front of you. 

You placed your hands up in defense. 

"I don't get it where did the human go?"One dog said. 

"Their right in front of us Doggo!"One dog said to 'Doggo' 

"Undyne will be thrilled to hear about this human."

"GUYS THE SQUIRREL IS BACK?!"One dog said.

It caused the group of dogs to run after the squirrel. 

This gave you a chance to run away from the group.

As you ran you saw Sans and 'Papyrus' beside him. That when Papyrus saw you and smiled. 

"SANS LOOK IS THAT A HUMAN?!" Papyrus pointed at you and smiled.

Sans squinted his eyes then smiled. 

"what you mean the rock?" 

you looked behind you to see a big rock in the middle of the path

Okay, that wasn't there before! you thought.

"Oh!" Papyrus sighed.

"Hey what's that in front of the rock?"Sans asked. 

it was Papyrus' turn to squint his eyes. 

It wasn't long until Papyrus stared down dead at you. His eyes lite up in excitement.

"OH MY GOD IS THAT A HUUUUUUUUUMAN?!"  ((If you get this reference I will follow you XD))

You were confused as he started mentioning something about being popular or something. 

You sighed as you gave him a patient smile.  He then pointed at you.

"Enter if you dear human for my puzzles will trouble you Nyeheheheheh!"With that, he left.  

Leaving both you and Sans.

"Say thanks for helping my bro," he said. "Want me to walk with you?"

You smiled as you both walked on ahead.
