Chapter 3:The night is near

"We skipped Lunch because of the family drama and honestly I don't regret it!" Romulus walked into the castle with Virgil and Janus close behind him. "Maybe you don't but I do.." Janus replied walking behind Romulus and next to Virgil. "Same here.." Virgil said, agreeing with Janus. "Well you 2 are in luck! We just got back for dinner!" Romulus says looking back at them. "Finally-" Virgil said before getting cut off by janus elbowing him "don't be rude!" Janus whispers to Virgil. "What I'm just being honest. I just want food, sleep, and to go home" Virgil whispers back. "I'm not letting you go back to that dump-" Janus replies, getting interrupted by Romulus "we're here! Go ahead and have a seat" the king said while sitting at the head of the table followed by Janus sitting across from him and Virgil sitting next to Janus. A few workers came out and gave them dinner.

"So how'd you like dinner?" Romulus asked "it was great!" Janus replied. "I'm glad you liked it. I will show you to your rooms now," the king said. "Thanks your highness-" Janus tried to thank Romulus but he cut him off "there's no need to call me your highness" said the king. "But isn't that what you're supposed to call royalty?" Janus asks. "Yes but..... you.... you both are my friends! Call me Romulus!" Romulus answered Janus' question. "Since when were we friends?" Virgil asked, only to get an elbow in the side AGAIN! "Ow! What was that for??" Virgil turned towards Janus. "You were being rude. AGAIN!!" Janus stopped and looked at Virgil. After a while of arguing Janus looked around. "Uhhhh where did Romulus go..?" Janus asked, ultimately looking back at Virgil only to realize he isn't there either, & just like that, Janus was alone again. "U-um.. Virgil? Romulus?" Janus was confused as to why Virgil would leave him there because this castle is huge and they wouldn't know where to go and would easily get lost. Then he heard a sound coming from the darkness.
"Thump thump, thump thump, thump thump.." Janus was frightened, confused, & worst of all lost. He didn't know what to do, where to go, or who was making that noise. As Janus took each step his heart beat faster, & faster. Until finally he was in front of the door where the noise was coming from. He slowly opened the door and just before he saw what was making the noise he woke up from the nightmare he's been having for weeks, only this time he couldn't escape it. He knew what he had to do...
