7:15 A.M.

Maria got to school and saw Elena standing with Peter talking about how much they wished that the school would give them a free day again.

"Okay, who from you put this note and key in my pocket yesterday?" Maria asked.

Both Elena and Peter looked at Maria, "Good morning to you too Maria." Peter spoke.

"Yeah yeah, good morning, now who put this in my pocket?" Maria repeated.

"Not me, my parents can't even trust me with my house's keys, let alone any key," Elena answered.

"I only own my house's keys," Peter replied.

"Present tense, did you own this before?" Maria questioned, as she shoved the key in Peter's face.

"I haven't seen that key in my life," Peter spoke as he moved his face away from the key.

Elena took the note out of Maria's hand and read it, "this seems like a prank." She then commented.

"That's why I am asking," Maria replied.

"Maria, I am offended that you think I would do this dumb of a prank. That's not even my handwriting." Peter teased.

"She's new, she still doesn't know that you can't even pull a simple prank." Elena laughed.

"Guys, this whole thing kept me up last night. You Tentville borns should understand this better." Maria spoke.

"Maybe it was Steve that was pranking you." Elena guessed. "It seems like a Steve prank anyway."

"Speak of the devil," Peter spoke as Steve approached them.

"Did you put this in my pocket?" Maria asked as she shoved the key in Steve's face.

"Good morning to you too Maria." Steve replied as Peter laughed, "I am great, thanks for asking. But no I didn't put that thing in your pocket. I am a gentleman, I don't put old keys in girl's pockets. I would rather put a dead snake there."

   "That's disgusting," Elena commented.

"But effective for a good reaction." Steve smiled.

"As you can see Maria, if you came here to find your soulmate, I would suggest going back to the city." Elena joked.

"Take me with you," Peter replied.

"Why? Us Tentville girls are the best." Elena asked.

"Yeah sure, the best at being delusional." Steve chuckled.

"Whatever your opinions are on each other, Tentvilles, I want to know what and why this is," Maria yelled.

"Relax Maria, it's probably a joke. Maybe it was the old woman who put them in your pocket." Peter spoke.

"Yeah, remember her? The one that called you Ingrid." Elena asked.

"She lives in the old mansion by the way," Steve stated as the three teens looked at him. "What? My brother became the mayor last year, you get benefits from being related to the mayor."

"Lucky us. But how is that any use?" Elena asked.

"Easy, we can pay her a visit and ask her," Steve suggested.

"Why would we bother an old lady for that?" Maria asked.

"Do you want answers or not?" Steve questioned.
