Jess looked at Rory as she was slowly calming down looking out of the window allowing the spring air to fill her lungs.
Looking back at Jess she smiled as she looked in front of her.
"What happened? Back at Yale," Jess said as Rory exhaled.
"He's been worried about me for awhile. Shortly after you left I was falling apart because of all the stress of college. Stupid me decided to break down in front of my ex and it didn't end well. He scratched open all of the feelings he had for me back then and it just ended badly. As you obviously saw," Rory said as Jess exhaled.
"I guess you're a hard girl getting over. Are you okay?" Jess asked as Rory nodded.
"I'm fine. Thanks for coming to my rescue," Rory said.
"Always," Jess said as he smiled remembering what had happened the last time he and Rory were together in a car.
"Jeez I get the creeps thinking we were just talking like now when the accident had happened back when you were 16," Jess said as Rory exhaled.
"Be careful then. Otherwise my mother will kill you," Rory said as Jess smiled.
"I attend to be just that. I'm not planning on killing either of us tonight. Okay. Where are we going? Stars Hollow or to your grandparents?" Jess asked as Rory exhaled.
"Luke's," Rory said.
"Okay good. Then we go to the diner," Jess said turning on the radio as music started to play.
