"Do not tell me you drove MY daughter here," Lorelai said as Jess exhaled.
"Dean was at Yale desperate to retake our relationship from years ago. Jess came to my rescue so rather thank him," Rory said as she and Jess sat down.
"Told you he's a jackass. You okay?" Luke asked pouring two more cups of coffee.
"Yeah I'm okay. Jess came to the rescue. Got lucky," Rory said.

Hearing voices outside yelling at each other Rory saw as Dean and Lindsay were fighting as she looked at Jess. Giving his uncle a look Luke nodded as Jess grabbed Rory's hand as they went up stairs into the apartment.

"He's never gonna quit," Rory said as she sat down on a chair.
"Don't think about that. What about you and I watch movies? Like the old days when we used to date. Bet Luke has a video or two in here which we can watch," Jess said as Rory smiled.
"And you always have the right answer. Yeah sounds amazing," Rory said as Jess smiled.

Putting the television on Jess and Rory laid on the bed, her head on his shoulder as he wrapped his arms around her throwing a blanket over the two of them. Minutes later Luke came up the stairs entering the room as he heard the television playing in the background but he saw Jess and Rory snuggled up and fast asleep. Smiling he put the television off and turned off the light going back down stairs.

"Fast asleep in each other's arms while the television was still playing Casablanca," Luke said.
"Leave them. At least Rory is safe. She can stay here if it's okay," Lorelai said.
"Of course it is."
