Nine.

*CHRISTOPHER'S POV*

I can't find the perfect timing on making Luna try on a nice outfit for our surprise date later.

*Flashback*

I let Luna freshen up in my bedroom so I went to Richard's room for help.

*Knock*

"Richard, estas despierto?" I asked while knocking. The door immediatley opened and I saw Richard holding out two shirts that I guess he wants to wear but can't decide on which.

(Richard, estas despierto? = Richard, are you awake?)

"Esto? o esto?" he asked while showing me both of the shirts. I just sat down on his bed said, "Bro, I need your help."

(Esto? o esto? = This? or this?)

*End of flashback*

I was so nervous and we ended up buying clothes for ourselves.

Ugh this is frustrating.

She's trying on a dress right now and I'm just waiting for her. I have to stick to the plan. I want it to be perfect.

My phone buzzed and saw Richard's text message.

Richard: Me and Erick are done, everything's ready on your car Chris. Buena suerte y diviértete amigo! But not too much fun 😉

(Buena suerte y diviértete amigo = Good luck and have fun, my friend)

Me: Muchas gracias hermano, I knew I could count on you.

(Muchas gracias hermano = Thanks a lot brother)

I replied and as I click the send button, I noticed Luna walking towards me.

I stopped moving, I feel like I'm buried underground. She's stunning in that dress. I felt myself smile widely as I take off my cap and shades.

I didn't care about the others 'cause all I want right now is to see her clearly. My heart beats faster and faster as I walk towards her.

"Do you like it?" she asked, showing me the dress side by side. I looked at her from her face to her shoes.

"You look, breathtaking." I said. I saw her face redden as I stare at her eyes. She quickly checked the price tag and looked shocked and disappointed.

"It's too expensive, I'll just try another one." She said with a sigh. I grabbed her arm and said, "I'll definitely buy.", she smiled widely at me. "You don't have to, Chris." I just shushed her and pushed her near the cashier.

"Miss, we'll get this one, she'll be wearing it today." I said while giving the cashier my credit card. She grabbed her scissors and cut the price tag off the dress. "Thank you for shopping with us!" she said.

We walked out and saw people gathered near us. What's going on-

Oh shit! I totally forgot that took off my cap and shades.

"IT'S REALLY CHRISTOPHER!!"

"AAAA CHRIS NOTICE ME!"

"WHO'S THAT GIRL CHRIS?!"

I immediately grabbed Luna's arm and ran fast to the parking lot.

"Sorry about that." I said, she nodded and went in the car.

I took Luna's shopping bags and shoved it at the back, I don't want her to see my surprise.

I started driving and noticed that she's gasping for air 'cause we ran from a long way here. I slowly touched her hand with my right and my left touching the steering wheel. I felt her calm down a bit which made me smile.

We drove for about 20 minutes 'til we arrive at the place where Richard rented, it's a part of the beach where we can watch the sunset with just the two of us.

I stopped the car and said, "Come on.", I opened her door and watched her look around.

"Where are we Chris?" she said smiling. "I promised you a date, so..." I said, and opened the trunk of my car.

"Chris, it's beautiful." she smiled widely as she looks at the trunk.

I asked Richard for help earlier to prepare a full on picnic date on the trunk of my car. I said I wanted her to watch the sunset for our first date so he pretty much did all this. I wanted it to be a surprise.

"Be my guest." I said and signaled her to sit down with me. There's snacks and drinks prepared for us.

"This is.. You're too cute Chris." she said as she kissed my cheek. "Thank you." she whispered and carried on staring at the sunset.

I felt my heart skipped a beat. As she watch the sun go down, I was staring at her flawless face.

How can a girl be this perfect, I thought to myself.

We ate chips as the place darkens and stars appeared out of nowhere.

"Look! There's so many!" she said excitingly. I laughed and watched her eyes sparkle more than the stars in the sky. "I heard someone say that when one would die, the soul would become a star in the sky." she said while still looking at the stars.

"They're beautiful aren't they?" she asked. I looked at her and said,

"Yeah, so beautiful."

She looked at me and smiled. God, I really like her.

"Come on let's take a walk on the beach!" she said pulling me out of the trunk.

I wish I could stop time.
