UNEXPECTED (Christopher Vélez from CNCO fanfic)

Thirty One.

*LUNA'S POV*

"Mom?" I asked. I remembered her face from the pictures I have since I was a baby. She's definitely my mother.

"Luna? Is that really you?" she said. I really don't know how to react so I just stood there staring at her.

"Hey what's going on?" Chris suddenly appeared and looked at her. "Hi good evening, how may we help you ma'am?" he said.

Mom smiled sweetly at him and said, "I just wanted to see my daughter, Luna." Chris looked surprised as well but he immediately invited her in.

He led us to the living room and left us to talk. I was still shocked to see her and didn't know what to say so I just stared at her.

"So, how are you doing?" she asked.

"Dad said you died." I said weakly. It's true, he said she died when I was a little girl and I couldn't remember it.

"That's not true, your father *sigh*, we got separated because she loved another woman. You were with him for 18 years because he didn't let me bring you with me." she said. I was still looking at her with disbelief.

"How did you know that I was with him for 18 years?" I asked.

"When I left, it made me miserable. You were my moonlight in the darkest nights of my life. So I did everything to be successful and when I did, I hired a private investigator to find you. And now here we are." she explained as her tears fell from her beautiful face.

"I- I still can't believe it. You're really here." I said. Even though I got mixed emotions, my happiness became more dominant. Dad never told me what happened to mom, so I'm kind of relieved.

"Hey Luna I was about to-" Skyla walked in and as she saw us, her eyes were wide open.

"Mom?" What? Mom?

"Skyla? What are you doing here?" Mom said, and I just looked at them simultaneously.

I'm so confused.

"I'm with my friends. Why are you talking to Luna? Do you know her?" Sky asked.

Oh my god.

"Well now that you both are here, Luna's your sister." Mom said straight to the point.

"What?" Me and Sky both said. I looked at Sky and she looked at me then back to mom.

"She's my sister, Lulu? I thought you can't find her?" Sky asked, I was just dazed. I'm so confused.

"I couldn't find her then because I didn't have enough money to hire an investigator. I thought her dad was still hiding her from me, that's why it's been this long." Mom explained while wiping her tears. Sky sat slowly beside me, still surprised just like me.

"I don't know what to feel... I mean, I'm happy of course, but it's painful for me because all these years I faced my challenges without a mom." I said. I felt my tears slowly fall down my face.

"I understand Luna, I'm really sorry for everything that happened to you. Please give me a chance to be your mom again?" Mom asked as she held both my hands.

Wow, this is all overwhelming for me. She's my mom, of course I'll give her a chance. I'm just, used to being alone in my life you know.

I looked deeply into her eyes and saw how genuine she is right now. I can't help it but smile. "Of course, mom." I finally said and she hugged me tight.

As I hug hed, I felt this different kind of love that I never felt before. A mother's love.

I saw Skyla crying silently but at the same time smiling while looking at us and I offered my hand for her to join us.

She immediately hugged is so tight and started bawling.

"You don't know how much I wanted a sister, and yet here you are!" Sky said excitingly and we all laughed.

After our hugging session, we introduced our mom the the others while having dinner and they were so excited for us. Of course, me and Sky being sisters? What a small world.

Lastly, I introduced Chris to mom when the others were in the garden.

"Mom, this is Christopher. My boyfriend." I said proudly and Chris was just so shy that I'm just in front of him.

"It's so nice to meet you, ma'am." Chris said and my mom smiled sweetly at him. "It's nice to meet you too, Christopher. Thank you for taking care of my princess." she said.

"For the rest of my life, ma'am."  he said and I just blushed so hard. God, this guy is just unbelievable!

"That's good to know hahaha." mom said and we all joined the others. Mom shared with us what happened to her, and it turns out that she met a guy and fell in love but did not work as well, it's Sky's father.

She also said that she might move here in Miami which is great! Me and Sky were so excited about that.

Ooh and also after our dinner earlier, Erick, asked mine and mom's permission to aske Sky to be his girlfriend! I know right?!

Of course mom and I agreed, Erick is just so kind and romantic in his own way. And I think Skyla and him are very compatible with each other.

While we were chatting in the garden, Erick suddenly stood up and we all looked at him.

It's time, I said to myself while smiling.

He walked towards Sky and she's just so confused which made me and mom laugh. "Skyla, I remember the day we met, the way you smiled at me, and the way you made my heart melt. There is no doubt that you are the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life. And I want you to know that I've never felt this way before. So I'm gonna ask this one question that I wanted to ask so much ever since. Will you be mine?" We all squeaked from excitement as we look at Skyla's reaction.

She's just tearing up from Erick's speech, but immediately hugged him and said yes.

Aww, finally!

The boys congratulated Erick and we girls immediately hugged Sky.

"I'm so happy for you guys!" Hazel said, "About time!" Isa added. We all laughed and continued telling stories in the garden.

I looked at all of them with a smile, and let out a big sigh. After hours of chatting, mom decided to head back to her hotel and she'll search for a house the next day.

The others went to their rooms to rest, and me and Chris as well. As we walked near our bedroom door, he suddenly said, "I have another surprise for you."

"What is it?" I said confusingly.

He opened our door and the dog earlier who gave me a note running towards me. Aaaaaaaa! So cute!

"It's ours! His name is Ollie." He said, I hugged Ollie and teared up.

"I love him Chris! Thank you." I said. He smiled at me and hugged the both of us.

I wish this day would never end.
