Five could not, for the very life of him muster out a plan. He was baffled at what he had just witnessed with the blonde maniacs killing poor old Hazel, not to mention the looping image of his family being obliterated in another impending apocalypse, he could heave over then and there but much needed to be done. The boy found himself pacing back at the alleyway, mind racing at the possibilities. He was a man obsessed, possibly even deranged as he began to become even more desperate for clues. He stops for a moment, wide ocean green eyes scanning the alleyway, and there perched upon the rooftop was the key to finding his family. Perfectly angled at where he stood, a camera watched ominously hoping to catch someone, or something.
Five wasted little time blinking into the building. He looks around, seeing a stark contrast to the intense colors of Dallas outside. Drab shades of gray and green lined the interior, a single light blinking in the background failing miserably to illuminate the entire area, making it look obscure and suspicious. Five, with his lanky legs immediately went up the stairs, two at a time until he'd reach the second landing. He found himself in front of two doors, directly adjacent to one another. He stood there to ponder for a moment before pulling at his school jacket and knocking on the door.
To his surprise, before he could even knock, one of the doors opened, revealing a disheveled-looking man. His hair amess, greasy - as if he had failed to wash it and proceeds to run his fingers through it a million times a day. His eyes were wide, wild-looking even, making him look as crazy and unsettling as possible. "What do you want?" he asks the boy, his eyes peeking down to the staircase, checking something. Observant as he was, Five placed his hands behind him, stepping closer much to the man's clear displeasure.
"Hi, I'm selling encyclopedia's for my youth group." He exclaims, smiling his widest towards the unnamed man. Whoever he was, he didn't even spare a glance at Five, his gaze remaining on the dark staircase before slamming the door on the boy's face, much to Five's chagrin. This time, the boy no longer needed a moment to think, opting to blink himself into the apartment immediately. The older man yelled in fright, stumbling back at the sight of the young man appearing out of nowhere.
His reaction prompted an amused chuckle from Five, he smirked looking unbothered by the fork pointed at him in a threatening manner. The older man shook like a leaf, forcing himself to hold up the fork, even though his body wanted to turn to jelly so badly. "How'd you do that?", he stiffened even more upon asking, carefully eyeing the boy in front of him. The fork was being lifted higher, an attempt to make it seem even more threatening.
Deciding to play along, the boy holds both hands up. "I don't really have enough time to explain." he posits, shrugging as he begins to look around the room with modest steps. The kitchen was quaint, just the mere essentials and a small table to eat on, the entire space was drowning in the glorious summery glow.
"You from the Pentagon?" The man asks next, still intently looking at the boy who looked like he was absent-mindedly looking around.
"Definitely not."
