A promise

I can't promise you morning cuddles and kisses,
But you'll always be my first thought every morning..

I can't promise you breakfast in bed,
But i'll always feed your angels all the light in me..

I can't promise you a call every hour,
But i'll always pray for you before me..

I can't promise you all of my time,
But i promise you a shoulder in all your dark times.

I can't promise to return on time every evening,
But my heart will always return to you post every storm

I can't promise you texts or calls,
But you'll always be the thought that lights me up.

Well, after all these times, Maybe I can't even promise you love,

But what i can promise is a cozy corner, down the very lane of my heart, you can always return to when everything and everyone seems to have turned against you.
