The lady of crazy

It's been 5 years since she's been here, over time she got used to it. She's been trapped in her room — not able to go out — but she used that to her benefit. She's been training herself to get used to everything.  Her name was still Tarina, but she was able to get used to Adeline so now she went by Adeline Lake.

That was one of the few things she got used to though, her body was littered with both small and big scratches from the many times she freaked out. The scratches were in her everyday life now, it reminded her that she wasn't crazy although everyone around her thought she was crazy.

She was known as the lady of crazy, the one who suddenly turned crazy one day screaming about an imaginary life. The servants always talked too much, she could hear them from all the way in her little room of isolation. It was hurtful to know no one believed her because it was true, she gave herself a little scratch, what she said was the truth. It was just too crazy for anyone to believe cause they never went through what she went through.

She gave herself another scratch, this time larger, feeling the small pain that reminded her it was all real. It was a bit nice — and a bit tiring — staying in this room for 5 years with barely any human contact; she had a lot of time to think.

She acknowledged that she was trapped in the manga she was reading and tried everything to get herself out. She tried killing herself, but that didn't work. She didn't drop dead, instead she only felt the pain of the piece of glass she used to stab herself with. There was blood too, it was everywhere as she tried to get herself to die and go back to her world, but nothing happened to her.

A few hours later of trying to get herself to die, a servant found her on the floor with a pool of blood surrounding her. She screamed in terror getting the attention of almost everyone who lived in the manor.

She had tried to keep her silent, but couldn't. The loss of blood weakened her and made her a bit delirious. When she saw the servant's horrified face, she gave her a small laugh and tried to hand her the piece of glass, saying with small breaths to kill her.

It horrified the servant and she later found out the servant had quit and Larine, the father of the real Adeline Lake, had paid off the servant to keep the incident a secret.

After that, almost every piece of furniture in the room was taken and only the bed remained. She had to ask for paper and pen whenever she ran out, servants were outside her door whenever she used the bathroom, and windows were replaced to glass that couldn't be shattered.

She still had her privacy and she treasured that greatly. Every day she spent her time writing about whatever came to mind. Sometimes she would write about her work, her thoughts, and her future, trying to keep herself optimistic, but over time it was slowly diminishing.

5 years of isolation, writing about her thoughts, trapped in her own mind, it was a wonder how she didn't lose all hope in ever going back to her world. She was now 25 years old in this manga, which would make her 32 in her world. She didn't even notice how time went by so fast, all she was focused on was when the manga would take place and how to get out before it happens.

According to her memories of the manga, today was the day the protagonist, Iris, showed up as the isolated princess of Calveris and it was also the day where Adeline Lake would make her appearance in the manga.

He was just too proud of himself to let his "daughter" ruin it for him and because of this, she would be able to figure out more of how she got here. Larine and Jackelyn, the mother of the real Adeline, would be attending the ball. When they go out and have fun, she would be able to bribe and threaten the servants to let her out and escape the manor with some gold and money to finance her travels.
