"Are you sure you're taking me to your High School Reunion Al? I'm not even a student there. And are you really going? You haven't gone to parties in 6 months. "  Batchi asked me surprisingly.

" I couldn't say no to Sir. Ben. But seriously I don't wanna go. Kathleen will be there like a leech all night. But I have to, They want me to give a short message because the one who's suppose to give the message declined. Paimportant ugh now I have to deal with this." I replied.

" Hmm well, you are that popular girl in High School. Might as well attend the event." she muttered thoughtfully.

"Yeah, whatever."

" And btw, it's okay. You are my plus one. " I added.

" And wingman that is... We'll I gotta suit up then. We better shop and have a coffee in the starbucks after . " She said excitedly.

"You haven't had time for your best friend since you take over the company. I'm really getting tampo na ." Batchi muttered next.

" You sounded like a whining girlfriend Batchi. Jeez. Okay, Okay. But we'll drop at the immigration first. I have to hand some papers." I replied.

" Are you sure you gonna leave again? That'll be World War III Althea."

" Yeah, and The Don cannot stop me. He better not. Cause I will never make that marriage happen Batchi. Not in a million years."

"Now you sounded like your Dad." 

" We're not even born when he died Batchi. How would you know that ?"

" Well, according to stories he didn't want to marry the one The Don wants him to marry right.? "

" Yeahh, and???"

" Well, I guess you're so much like him. A rebel. A hot rebel to be exact." she said with a wink.

" Stop that nonsense. Let's go."

" Welcome to Starbucks what's your order Ma'am?

"One Iced Caramel Macchiato on Venti please"

" Okay that would be 195 pesos, Ma'am---?" 

" Jade " I said smiling

" Thanks, keep the change."

I ordered coffee and sat on a couch in the innermost part of the café. I'm waiting for Paul to arrive. 

He said he will meet me here and promised to take me to their house so I can know more about my sister Rhian. I chose to call her that so I won't mix us up in my head. I brought a book in case he's late, which I think he is now.

Paul. 3:05 pm

Jade, I'm sorry I'll be a little late. I have to drop this papers in the office first.

" Damn, you look dashing in that red suit alright! Preparing for some ladies huh" Batchi beamed.

" Well, that's me. But preparing No. All you'll ever see there is my old teachers and classmates from highschool which I didn't have any romantic feelings of sort. So, No Batchi." 

" Kathleen Oliveros will be there right?" 

" Dang. That woman." I slap my head. " Yeah, she'll be there." 

" You have to distract her Batchi that's your job alright?" 

" I don't want her near me all night. Understand" I told her sternly.
