AHAHAHAHA CLARY THOUGHT SHE WAS OVER JACE.. CHARACTERS BELING TO CASSIE CLARE

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CLARY POV
The rest of the day, I hid out in my car. The second school was over, I texted Alyssa to meet me at my car so I can drop her off at home. "What happened?" Alyssa asked seeing my mascara-stained cheeks. I whimpered and just burst out crying all over again. Alyssa leaned over and pulled me into a bone-crushing hug. "It's okay Clary. Tell me what happened." Alyssa spoke soothingly, rubbing small circles on my back as an attempt to calm me down. I hiccuped and said "I think I'm still in love with Jace and my best friends hate me." I wailed, burrowing my head into Alyssa's hair. "Well, technically you did just leave off the face of the planet without telling them." Alyssa retorted. I gave her a glare and hiccuped again as she said "Whoops, sorry, not helping."
After dropping Alyssa off at her house, I parked my beautiful red Mercedes-Benz in the drive way and made my way into the house. "Hi baby, how was school?" asked my Mom. "You don't want to know." I said, shaking my head and grabbing a root beer out of the fridge. Mom narrowed her eyes at me and said "Clarissa, what did you do?" I rolled my eyes and laughed nervously. "Geez, mother, where's the trust?" Jocelyn gave me a small smile and sat down at the table. "Well, what happened." I shook my head and took a swig of my drink. I told my mom everything and leaned back in exhaustion just to see that all the color had drained out of Mom's face. "Well," Jocelyn began. "At least it's just Maryse. Should'nt be too bad." I sat up straight and looked Mom in the eye. "Mom, you're missing the big picture. JACE is back. My friends are back. I left them; I made them think I was dead and now I have to go to the same school as them? It's awkward Mother. I thought I moved on but I didn't really. I can't just spend the rest of my life ignoring them; I really do miss them. I want to make this right Mom." My eyes teared up and I hastily rubbed my eyes before the tears began to fall. "I get it baby. Just, go upstairs and do your homework and we can discuss this later." Mom hugged me and I numbly nodded my head. I headed upstairs to my room, but before I could start my homework, I fell into a light, dreamless sleep.
JACE POV
Maryse had us all packed and ready in 4 days. After a horribly annoying, 8 hour flight where I was forced to sit next to Magnus who kept trying to put glitter in my hair, we made it to our new house on Sunday. We were to go to our new school tomorrow, but I wasn't worried. I went up to what was supposed to be my room and laid down my mattress. "I wish you were here, Clare." I held the small ring that I had kept in my pocket the whole time against my chest and fell asleep with the moonlight bouncing on the walls.
I woke up bright and early the next and drove to school early with my friends. "You okay Jace? You look... not yourself." Alec asked, thumping me on the back. "I'm cool, Alec. I just want to get my schedule and get this day over with." I sighed and walked into the principle office. The principle, Mr. Samuel, looked up as I walked in. "Hello Mr. Lightwood. Here is you schedule." He said and handed over a piece of paper. He droned on about the rules and then ushered me to my first period class. I walked in with Isabelle, Simon, Alec, and Magnus trailing at my heels. A short, pudgy woman who's name was Miss. Gonzalez according to the tag on her desk, looked up and flashed a toothy smile. "Class!" she announced, clapping her hands together to get the students' attention. A flash of red caught my attention and I noticed a small red-headed girl in the back, sitting with her head bent. I felt a pang in my heart as the name Clary flashed through my head. I snapped out of my daze as I heard Miss. Gonzalez call out "Clary, darling, if you're tired stand up in the back of the room, or sit up straight child." CLARY?!?!? Isabelle stood frozen in her place as her big eyes filled up with tears and the red-headed girl mumbled something under her breath. She sat up straight and looked at us and laughed shakily. "Hey guys. Might wanna close your mouths. A fly might go in."
Clarissa. MY Clarissa... She was alive. I couldn't pay attention to Miss. Gonzalez for the rest of the class. My mind was reeling. Where was she all this time? Why did she leave? HOW did she leave? I mean I saw her die in my arms. It wasn't something someone told me and I chose to believe. I snapped out of my reverie as I heard the bell ring and a certain red-head rush out of the door with a blonde girl trailing after her. I was going to run after her but then I noticed Simon and Izzy shoot me a look of anger. "Are you actually going to go after her? She left god damn it. She obviously doesn't want us." Isabelle spat. "You don't mean that." Alec said, rubbing Isabelle's shoulder. "You're just mad and I get it. But guys, we have to go to class. Come on." Alec pulled Magnus into History as Simon, Isabelle and I headed to Science. We settled down into our seats and I looked up to see the teacher waltz in with a bounce in his step. "Hello class! Now I was told we have some new students, so if you could just stand up for me." Izzy, Simon, and I stood up and I saw that my teacher's eyes got bigger. And I understood why. "J-Jace. Izzy. Simon. YOU guys are my new students?" the teacher exclaimed. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms across my chest. "Well, nice to see you too Luke. Glad to feel welcome." Izzy said, sarcasm dripping thickly in her voice. Luke gulped and spoke "Well sit down and welcome to the class guys." Just then the door burst open and a loud shrill whine echoed throughout the room. "LUKE" I heard as I turned my attention to the door. There, frozen in her place, stood Clary. "I think it's too late to hide out." She said. An angry voice spoke up before I could process what Clary even said. "Yea, I think so too." Simon said, standing up to face Clary. His whole body was tense and he looked as if he was holding himself back and trying not to explode. Clary stood, staring at Simon and then turned to shoot a glance at Luke, who stood there looking sympathetic at Clary. "Please have a seat Ms. Fray." Clary quickly scanned the class and I could tell her heart fell as she realized that the only available seat left was between me and Izzy. She cautiously settled herself into the chair and even though I knew Luke had started teaching, I couldn't take my eyes off of her. Clary turned to look at me and her brilliant green-eyes captivated me. I whispered lowly under my breath, mostly to myself. "You're alive." I was subconsciously twirling her ring in between my fingers and I spoke up, louder this time. "You've been alive... all this time." I felt Luke's warm gaze as I lovingly took Clary's hand and slipped the ring onto her finger. Clary pulled her hand back and peered down at her hand. A look of recognition passed her face and she looked up at me, her green eyes laced with tears. "You kept this ring. All this time?" she asked. I nodded, feeling my face warm up as the rest of the class turned their attention to us. A tear threatened to slip over Clary's lashes and I reached out and caught it with my thumb. And before I could stop myself, I cupped Clary's face and leaned in to kiss her, but before I could, she slipped from my gasp and ran out of the room. I looked at Isabelle who looked right back at me and I thought Oh god what have I done.
