"Ms. Rodriguez can you explain what I just said?"

I felt my face go red. I hadn't been paying attention the entire class and I think Mr. Russo (my teacher) finally noticed. I cleared my throat and looked around.

"Uh you were talking about Al Capone?" I half asked, hoping I was right.

"That is correct." He shot me a look before continueing on what he was saying. I shook my head in disapproval. I hate him so much. The one class I'm failing is this history class and I honestly don't care anymore.

I haven't been focusing on school a lot lately even though I should. Being the very uninterested teen I am, I should hate school like everyone else. Right?

Thankfully, before I could finish my thought process, the bell rang and I scrambled out of class as fast as I could. Another second in there and I would die.

I rushed to my locker so I could go to lunch but was stopped when I ran into someone like the idiot I am.

"Shit! Sorry!" I looked around at the few books on the ground and gathered them up only to be greeted by two green eyes and a cheeky smile. "Oh it's just a looser." I laughed as Michael helped me stand up.

"Hey I wouldn't treat your boyfriend that way." He grinned and took hold of my hand and we strolled to my locker. "You're really clumsy, you know that right?"

"Yes yes. It's the J-Curse. The curse of being clumsy like me." I snorted a laugh and shook my head. That joke was very unnecessary.

When we reached my locker I exchanged my books and we walked down to the lunch hall, hand in hand.

As we entered I saw Natalie nervously pacing around the area where we sit. When she caught my eyes she rushes over to me and leaped into my arms. I let out a small 'oof' and let go of Michael's hand so I could hold her up.

"Natalie what happened?" I asked as I gently let her go from my grasp.

"It uh, i-it was..." Natalie struggled to find her words and a small tear ran down her cheek. I took hold of her hand and we walked back to our table. Once we sat I let Natalie bury her head into my shoulder as Michael awkwardly sat and watched. "C-Calum got into a fight. B-because a senior guy called me a f-freak. And so Calum beat him up. But the senior guy hit him square in the nose." Natalie let out a small sniffle and I sighed, hoping she wouldn't hear that.

"It's okay Nat, you're not a freak. You're different just like me and Michael." My hand stroked her slightly greasy hair and I smiled. No one should ever treat my girl this way.

"Calum got sent to the office, but not the senior guy." Natalie hung her head, making it seem like it was her fault.

"What the hell." I mumbled. "Mikey can you go get me lunch please?" I quickly pulled my money out of my back pocket and handed it to him. With a sigh he took the money and went over to the lunch line.

"After school do you wanna go to the mall again?" I smiled hoping that would cheer her up.

"But we already finished the mall." A small crying noise escaped her lips and I sighed.

"How about Michael comes with? And you and I could get tattoos or something?" Her head perked up a little and she had a small smile on her face. One big reason she was upset about Calum was the fact that she has a HUGE crush on him. I'm honestly surprised she can even talk to him. "Want me to invite Calum?" Her back shot straight up so she was sitting tall and she stared at me wide eyed.

"Well.. I-I don't know." She bit her lip and looked away from me.

"Come on I know you want him there." I smiled and nudged her knee with mine.
