Chapter 19: Burning Heart

There were unknown sounds that were bouncing off of the walls of the cave. It was unknown what the time was outside. Due to the rain, there were the small sounds of thunder echoing its way through.

Other than the sounds, SNT, Rosey, and Rookie were continuing their trekking through the cave filled with gems. It was clear that powerful energy was nearby which SNT was picking up. The energy felt very similar to the Sonichu Balls or Chaos Emeralds, but whatever it was, it was more powerful than that.

SNT looked at the watch Subaru gave her earlier. She realized that the signal between her and the workshop was severed due to being deep underground, but it still kept a record of the map where all of the Sonichu Balls were. She already had 3 in her possession. But there were 5 more signals on the map.

"Hmm..." SNT said to herself. Maybe what we are approaching is not a Sonichu ball but something possibly more powerful than that with the same characteristics.

"So Rookie?" Rosey got his attention. "How do you know SNT?"

"Oh... I don't want to explain it. Every time I do, somehow it always comes out wrong." Rookie explained.

"Oh... I don't blame you, blame the writer." SNT said back.

"What... who are you talking about?" Rosey asked.

SNT looked at Rosey, "What... you met him, don't you remember?"

"I'm sorry... my memories... there just kinda... let's say froggy right now?" Rosey announced.

"Froggy?" Rookie reacted due to the use of that word.

"Oh, don't tell me you became Big just now?" SNT facepalmed.

"Well anyway... for a while, SNT and I were one person." The wolf explained. "I became sort of a ghost in the mind of SNT." Rookie explained trying not to be awkward.

"How does that work?" Rosey asked.

"Phantom Ruby." SNT answered.

"What is that, a new Pokemon game?" Rosey asked.

Rookie explained. "It's a mysterious Gem Eggman found and copied somehow that allows reality itself to be warped by playing with our minds."

SNT added. "Honestly... It's hard to comprehend what this thing can do. It manipulates reality as we know it is the best way I can think to describe it."

"Sounds like what the Unown does back in my world." Rosey thought. "I guess it's this world equivalent."

"Yeah, due to the fact that SNT did most of the work through that whole crisis, we have been friends since." Rookie explained.

"Interesting," Rosey responded. "Rookie, I was wondering..." She got closer to him making sure that SNT couldn't hear her.

"Huh?"

"I... um... I was wondering if you have feelings for her?" Rosey asked

"WHAT?" Rookie was surprised by that question causing him to yell out loud.

SNT looked behind herself at the red wolf blushing. "Rookie... what's wrong."

"Oh... um... you know... Rosey here just... made a really... dirty joke." Rookie responded blushing in place.

"WHAT?" Rosey blushed in response.

"Wait... did I just say that?" Rookie realized he didn't think through what he just said.

"Rosey... this is a story for kids... no dirty jokes," SNT announced.

"Um... no it's not," Rosey responded. "Do you know all of the things Sonichu does to me off-screen? This is not for kids."
