MATERIALS
✶A book
✶A binder clip
✶A pair of scissors
✶Stretch Magic Cord (You can get this at any craft store like Michaels or Joann Fabric and Craft Stores)
✶A charm (optional)
✶A lighter (optional)

MEASURING
✶for a bracelet: one arm length
✶for a necklace: two arm lengths
⇨cut extra string so that you can end the bracelet or necklace easier

INSTRUCTIONS
✶secure the binder clip on the book
✶fold the string in half (make sure the sides are even) and clip it into the binder clip
✶leave the right end straight
✶make a loop with the left string by moving the left string over the right and bringing it back to the left side
✶tighten what you just made by bringing the loop to the top of the binder clip
✶repeat this step with the right string
✶continue to alternate between strings until you reach the end

CHARMS
✶to add a charm, stop midway through and put the charm on either string and push it toward the looped part while you continue with the other half

FINISHING
✶one way is to tie a knot to end the necklace/bracelet
✶another way is to, carefully, use a lighter to melt the ends together
