Chapter 4: Luhan's Apartment

"Dahae and Luhan, since you had to leave class early yesterday, I'm giving you extra time to write up your lab report. Make sure you get eachother's contact information and set up a time to meet up alright?" The biology professor told Dahae and Luhan the next day.

"After we're done with school, do you want to go to the library and start writing up the lab report?" Dahae suggested to Luhan.

Luhan bit his lip slightly for a moment and thought to himself, "Umm alright." He then took out his phone and proceeded to text Baekhyun.

Luhan: Will your parents be able to watch Haru again today?

Baekhyun: I thought you didn't have to work at the restaurant tonight.

Luhan: But the professor told me that I had to meet up with Dahae and work on something together.

Baekhyun:Sorry, but my parents won't be home tonight, and I would watch Haru if I could, but since I was sick yesterday, I have to make up a bunch of work.

Luhan sighed before typing up his response to his friend: It's ok. I'll bring Haru along.

"So I was thinking we should go get bulgogi tonight for dinner and then we can eat it at our dorm," Mijoo said to Dahae as they headed back to their rooms.

"Hmm well I'm not sure because I have to work with Luhan for biology. I don't know how long it will take."

Mijoo held her arm out and stopped Dahae, "Wait. You have to hang out with Luhan? Ugh," Mijoo rolled her eyes. "Be careful."

"Why?"

"Because I've known that kid since high school and he's so weird. He wouldn't talk to anyone so he didn't have any friends, well except Baekhyun. And I don't know. The loner types are always the ones you have to watch out for."

"It's alright Mijoo. I'll be fine."

After heading back down to the campus, Dahae waited in the middle of the library quad for her science partner. She had been waiting in the same spot for an hour. She was afraid that if she left to sit in the shade, Luhan wouldn't see her. The teacher told them to exchange contact information, but Dahae completely forgot to ask Luhan for his number.

"Sorry I'm a little late." Dahae heard from behind her. She turned around and was surprised to see Luhan holding a little girl's hand.

"Oh umm," Dahae smiled at the girl who hid behind her older brother.

"So I had to pick up my sister, and her school is pretty far from the university." Luhan explained.

"Oh no, that's alright. At least we can still work on the report. Do you want to head into the library?"

Luhan squeezed his sister's hand. "Actually...can we do the assignment in my apartment?"

Dahae was taken aback, but of course she nodded her head, "Y-yeah sure. So what's your name?"

Haru was a little shy and was still hiding behind Luhan. "Her name is Haru." Luhan said.

"Oh Haru as in 'day.' That's such a nice name." Haru peaked out from behind Luhan and smiled at Dahae's compliment.

Luhan unlocked the door and closed it once everyone stepped inside.

"Helloooo," Dahae called out and she took her first steps in Luhan's apartment.

"Who are you saying hello to?" Luhan took some milk from the fridge and poured some for Haru.

"Are your parents ok with me being here?" Dahae's family raised her to have very nice manners and she would always have to greet a person's parents when she was invited into their home.
