8th Chapter

Author's POV

Taehyung was staring at his reflection in the mirror, looking as beautiful as ever in his navy blue button up dress shirt, with minimal makeup, earings and a pendent that remind him of the time whe he was the happiest and carefree. This pendent was the last gift from his parents.

He looked ethreal but something was missing in his appearance, that was the shine in his eyes and the smile on his face. After that phone call with Jungkook in his drunken state was something he can't forget inspite of being drunk, that whole conversation continuously playing again and again in his mind, the way Jungkook sounded so vulnerable, the way he was begging Taehyung to give him a chance. He cried last night after hanging up he tried his best to restrain himself for not giving in, Jungkook still makes him weak. He just can't give in becuse he has already promised Jimin that he is giving Bogum a chance. He can't let him down neither Bogum, he is a nice guy and somewhere he still feel guilty for talking to him rudely that day in cafe. That's why he asked Jimin to tell him to meet him today. For them it's a date but for him it's just a meet up and a chance to apologise and if things goes right he'll think for what Jimin want him to do, that is ofcourse date Bogum.

"Oh you look so beautiful Tae. He'll fall more for you. You look perfect.", Jimin commented as he entered in his best friend's room.

"What happened you're not happy.", the short guy asked seeing the sadness in his bestie's eyes.

"I don't know Jimin, I'm just confused.", Taehyung said as Jimin came closer and held Tae's hand in his.

"My baby bro just breathe I know it's tough for you to just let go off the things you've been holding for so long. But one day or the other you have to accept the truth that as long as you'll hold it, it'll keep hurting you more and more. I know it'll take time for you to completely move on but taking baby step won't hurt.", Jimin tried to comfort Taehyung as well as convince him to just let go.

"But what if I'll never move on, what if I'll never feel anything for Bogum and end up hurting him in the end?", Taehyung asked, as much as he wants to move on something in him doesn't let him and he doesn't want to hurt Bogum in that process.

The truth is that somewhere he still wants to wait for the day when he can be with Jungkook without any compilcation, happy and content but now it feels like a far fetched dream. As much as he wants to go running back to Jungkook he still have trust issues he just can't forget those two years and the suffering. Two years might not be long for some people but for him it felt like two decades without Jungkook. And the most important thing he doesn't want to go against Jimin, the guy will never let Tae to go back to Jungkook. Call him controlling but the Jimin loves his friend and has seen him in his worst only because of Jungkook.

"And what if you'll end up having feelings for him too?", Jimin still want him to try.

"But in either of the situation, I'll be there by your side. We'll tackle every difficulties together forever.", as the short guy hugged his best friend.

"Thakyou Chim."

"Anytime taetae."

"Tae, Bogum is here.", Jin interrupted the two best friends as he peaked into the room to inform about Bogum's arrival.

"Yeah I'm just coming.", Taehyung replied.

"Okay come soon...btw you look pretty.", Jin complemented Taehyung before walking away.

"Thanks Jinnie hyung."

"All the best baby you'll be fine don't stress out yourself too much." Jimin said as this time Taehyung hugged his best friend and walked out of the room with his best friend trailing behind him.
