A Surprize Visitor

Anastasia and I keep making the news every time we go out to dinner or dancing together. Kate, Elliott, Tia, Barney, Mia and Ethan all met for dinner and dancing and the paparazzi swarmed us all at once. They are especially a large group and we have no way of escaping the hoards, so we enjoy ourselves dancing and having fun and some gave up since it started pouring down outside.
Anastasia
Christian and I have decided to create a new organization to feed the homeless and see that at least the ones in Seattle have a place to live at least a short while. We have been living together for a while and dad finally told me he got married in Vegas and his wedding at his home was just for the family. He also is becoming a father again. Of course at first I was shocked, but Jennifer is younger than him by ten years and why wouldn't she want kids with her husband. I congratulated them both and asked if they knew what they were having and it is going to be a boy. They are naming him Daniel Alexander Steele after her father who died after being shot by a cop in Detroit. It turned out he was innocent and they had to pay the widow a nice settlement for wrongful death. Something about that story made me think. Dad changed the subject quickly.

Mom telling me why dad is dead.
Elsbeth James, we heard screaming from next door and the a child crying, my husband went over to find a small child in shock and a woman beaten to a pulp. Before he could come and have an ambulance a cop shot him as he was trying to call them. They saw the dead body and the child in shock and the assumed he did it. His clothing only had his blood on them as he bled out on the way to the hospital. Jennifer thank God was at a friends home. She didn't see her father shot and killed by a cop who made the mistake thinking he was the killer. The cops was a rookie. Five million dollars does not take away the pain of loss of my husband and Jennifer's father. My baby bump and the stress I felt was hard on all of us so I settled for the five million dollars. I barely saw the girl, apparently they had kidnapped her from her father and she looked exactly like the woman before she was beaten beyond recognition by whoever left her there. It was the young girls screams we had heard. She was in bad shape and apparently kept screaming. Her father came and picked her up and wanted to thank him for finding her. I had to explain that my husband was shit and killed by the cop who had been called. That was the last I saw them both. Their were flowers from an anonymous sender thanking Jessie for finding his daughter.

I am surprised neither Ray or Anastasia recognized us at all. I came to see my grandchild and brought my son with me. Cameron and I missed the wedding, but we came to visit the new years week. For some reason I recalled mr Steele as he arrived to pick up his daughter. She grabbed onto him and wouldn't let go of him the second he held her face towards him. Otherwise she was unresponsive. No one knows who actually did the killing. No blood was on Anastasia and only the blood from the cop shooting my husband was on him. I got to meet Anastasia and a sudden flicker in her eyes made me think she might recall me. After all I was holding my dying husband, while he bled out in the hallway outside our apartment. I hope I don't trigger anything memory wise. That was sixteen years ago, Cameron is 15 Jennifer was the same age when her father was killed. So Ray is around 40 something. Anastasia is going on 20 I think. Now I have a grandson by the father of the small child who wasn't able to communicate who killed the woman on the floor of the apartment next to us. Later I found out the dead woman was related to the Steeles in some way.
Ray
Anastasia acted odd after she met Elsbeth, she said she had to go and grabbed her things quickly, too quickly.
Elsbeth
Ray I think you better sit down, I tell him everything and he tries calling Anastasia and she doesn't answer her phone. He calls someone named Christian and tells him everything I just explained to him.
Christian
I have Taylor my new head of security to track Anastasia and find out where she is at.
Anastasia
When I looked at Elsbeth I saw her holding a bleeding man crying and then flashes of the woman being beaten over and over again. I hid like she told me to and heard her screaming until she stopped screaming. I recall the door slamming and no noise. I peeked out and no one was there. I screamed when I saw the woman's face full of blood. I recall screaming and the man opened the door, a cop saw the scene and shot the man. He was trying to move to the outside and wait there. He was shot by the cop and Elsbeth was holding him until an ambulance arrived and pronounced him and the woman dead. I was taken by police car after they checked for injuries on me.that is why Detroit has Ray so worried when we had to go there. He has never fully explained everything about Detroit, but this is probably what he fears. I finally make it home to Christian and he hugs me hard.

Your dad said you were distraught after meeting Elsbeth, so much do you bolted for home. Are you okay?
The guard at the gate calls and tells us we have a visitor. Amy Steele.

I can't believe this, I found my half sister finally. Caren my mother left Anastasia with our father, she had no idea she was pregnant with me. She and my aunt Remy were hiding out, but mom and Remy picked the wrong city to hide in. Detroit was where my aunt Remy was killed. She saved Anastasia from being killed, by hiding her in her apartment. But the guy found her, they have a lot of descriptions of him, but can't find him.
