chapter 9

I didn't put this in the last chapter but I thought it could make some things funnier if it was a roller skate cafe , Like the ones were the waitresses wear skates ? Yeah.

It had been about a 2 weeks since the start of my job. It was getting harder and harder to think clearly , im guessing because of the lack of food. Ive had a few small things here and there but i made sure mary was well fed.

I had slowly stopped showing up to school as much , instead taking more and more shifts at work. I think I miss about 3 of 5 days at school now ?

I'm currently working a shift , it's 2pm on a Saturday.

There was only four of us working today.

Fluer Chantelle

She was celestes friend from back in France , she's got a soft floating voice that feels very welcoming.

Astrid Lilith

She may look charming and sweet , but if you anger or upset her even a little bit she will completely snap. Luckily for me we created a bond - but that's very unlucky for any poor soul that tried to cross me or her.

Celestia ludenberg

I'll be honest , she does fuck all at work when her girlfriend comes in. She normally works out back just restocking. Really she's just on her phone , but she runs the place so I can't complain to much.

And then there's me.

I personally think the uniforms stupid and tacky. I'm a waitresses , sometimes I'll make the food or drinks but mostly I work behind the counter or taking food out.

I skated back behind the till with a empty tray , it was a slow afternoon , which was fine with me. I pressed the button on on the side that popped the weels into the heals of the shoe so I could walk normally for a bit.

Astrid was sat on the stool behind the counter on her phone.

I looked over to fluer and smirked , I'm pretty sure she might have a crush on Astrid. Fluer was looking at her longingly while Astrid was being her normal oblivious self.

"Where's Celeste?" I asked , knocking them both out of there trances.

"Probably outback. " Astrid rolled her eyes. "Talking to her girlfriend. "

"Please , does she ever -" I was interrupted by the small ring of the bell.

I let out a small groan as sayaka and Kirari walked in.

"Isn't that your ex girlfriend?" Fluer asked seeing my expression.

"WHAT-? NO I - NO-!" I spluttered.

It was just my luck the cafe I worked at was the same one they both came to every Saturday , you know that Saturdays sayaka kept cancelling on me to meet Kirari? Yeah those Saturdays.

This was my first week working a weekend so I hadn't had to see them before.

They looked somewhat surprised to see me.

"I didn't know you worked here. " Kirari said walking upto the till , followed by sayaka who looked at everything but me.

I felt slightly bad for hating Kirari , she didn't know I liked sayaka , it wasn't her fault.

"Yeah ... I didn't know this was the cafe. " I shrugged.

"Would you like to order ?" Astrid interrupted , she was giving sayaka a rather harsh look.

"Right , of course. "
