"It's so hot. I feel like I could die..."

I was currently standing under a tree near the dormitory. The heat was slowly boiling my body since the shade it provided offered no sense of relief. The reason why I was standing in this dreaded summer heat was all due to a stupid request...no more like a threat from Class D's three idiots.

This all started when I accompanied the two biggest perverts of the school in search of a respectable gift for a classmate that I didn't even know. While we were shopping, we stumbled upon the giant of Class A, Katsuragi Kohei browsing the store's products. It was surprising to see a man like him walk into a store generally for the female demographic. Even though I brushed aside his out-of-place appearance, the same cannot be said for the two idiots beside me. Both of them speculated that Katsuragi had a secret lover and was viewing suitable gifts to present to that said person. Unfortunately for me, I was tasked to stake out and gather information about his love life.

'Even if Katsuragi was in a relationship, what did it have to do with either of us?'

"Haah...whatever..." I let out a frustrated groan.

Based on my findings, Katsuragi had been visiting the school grounds multiple times while carrying the same wrapped-up present. Hinting at his routine, I decided to take the opportunity and follow him around today.

After waiting for a few minutes, I noticed a pair of upperclassmen exiting the third-year dormitory and heading towards my direction when they noticed me. Within the pair was a male and female student, both of whom I am quite familiar with.

"It's been a while." The male of the two spoke first.

"Still wearing the school's thick uniform even though it burning like the sun. It perfectly fits the style and manner of the all prosperous Student Council President Horikita Manabu."

By his side, stood the annoying shadow always with her bitter expression whenever I'm involved.

"Tachibana-senpai, you look quite normal today. Did your period finally subside?" I mocked her.

"H-Huh!? President-san, this rude student needs to know his place!"

Horikita Manabu ignored our banter and continued...

"Ayanokouji, it's unusual for you to stand in the burning heat for no apparent reason. May I ask the reason why you're out here?"

I can't say that I planned on stalking Katsuragi, but I guess the best choice would be...

"I was actually waiting for you Horikita-senpai." I lied.

Both of them raised their eyebrows when they heard my response.

"Really?"

I nodded in response to Horikita-senpai.

"I see. Then this would be the perfect opportunity to ask you this. Ayanokouji, if you have no prior engagements, I would like you to accompany me."

"W-what? President-San, why him? Tachibana-senpai was baffled by what Horikita-senpai said.
