Alexis' POV:
The metallic smell of blood infiltrates my senses as I stand in the large ballroom surrounded by deserted air. The once beautiful ball gown I wear is now stained crimson red. As I take in my surroundings for the first time of the night free of the sense of fear, I notice how beautiful this building actually is. Or was, should I say. I struggle to find any sympathy for the now lifeless bodies that surround me. A sudden movement startles me, making me whip my head around to investigate.
"What sort of trouble have you gotten yourself into this time darling?" The deep voice slices through the thick silence, hastily reaching my ears. He draws near me, emerald green eyes locked on mine. He steps slowly over the lifeless bodies that cover the floor.
My heart starts to palpitate faster in my chest. Each step he takes seems to be drawn out more and more as he approaches almost, as if he wants to overwhelm me with anticipation.
"What more do you want from me?" I stutter, "I've done everything you've asked."
He now stands in front of me, towering over my body.
"You and I both know what I want," He states "dont play dumb with me now princess, I know you're not as innocent as you lead everyone to believe."
Memories of what happened earlier this month rush through my mind like a freight train on a collision course."If you're trying to scare me it's not going to work." I stammer out with false confidence.
"Wow, look at big, strong Alexis, all grown up now huh?." He replies "You think you're so tough, but I know the real you and you're that same scared girl I met all those months ago."
"You don't know the first thing about me." I state, the anger raising in my body, masking my fear that still hides deep down.
I hate how he thinks he has power over me and can control my every move. He doesn't know the first thing about me other than the false facts I've fed him.
"Don't I though?" He replies. I hate the tinge of cockiness that lays in his voice. "I know you better than you think, there are many things I haven't admitted to you. You better watch out babe because the more you know, the more danger you're in."
Suddenly he grabs me by the waist thrusting me against his large frame. He leans in to whisper something in my ear with a chilling smirk on his face.
"You better start running blondie, before I decide to stop playing nice."
