^^Pip the cat
-July 1994-
Over the past few weeks Adhara has been catching up on what she calls "light reading".
A few days after finding out she was going to Hogwarts Regulus, Margaret, Leana, and herself went down to Diagon Alley to get her a pet and some robes. Adhara thought they were shopping early considering she still had two months school started. Regulus just told her that she should create a bond with her pet before school.
There wasn't really room for argument, who wouldn't want a new pet. Once they arrived Adhara immediately fell in love with a little black and white cat. Reg was skeptical considering how it was labeled as an adult but it's legs were so short. Apparently that was normal. Adhara saw he was 1 years old and named Pip, she knew then he was the one and decided to get him.
Regulus was right because now Adhara and Pip are practically inseparable.
Adhara laid on the ground of her bedroom trying to get paint on Pip's paws to imprint on a canvas. But Pip being a stubborn little cat meant he wouldn't stay still.
"Quit moving." Adhara grumbled trying to paint his paw blue.
Suddenly the door flew open, startling the both of them. Pip flew out of her grasp and tracked blue paw prints out her room and all down the hall.
Adhara gasped. "You bloody fools!"
At the door stood Ron and Harry. They just shrugged and walked away.
Why the hell did they even open my door? Adhara thought to herself.
Adhara picked at the paint on the ground and realized that it wasn't coming up without elbow grease. Just her luck. She sighed heavily before getting up and face planting on her bed and groaning extremely loud.
"What are you doing in here? Pip jumped on Reg and both boys are covered in blue. Reg was screaming like a girl." Marg grinned at the recent action.
Adhara sat up and pointed at the Canvas. Marg understood what she was doing but she was shocked to see Adhara not wearing her necklace, something Adhara has never been seen without.
Marg pointed at her neck, "Where's your locket Addy?"
"Huh?" Adhara looked down before remembering and pointed at the desk, which was cluttered with books and parchment paper. On top of one of the pieces of parchment sat her necklace.
Marg hummed before telling her that Lunch should be done soon. Adhara nodded, then Marg left, leaving the brunette girl to her thoughts.
Recently Adhara has been feeling something strange, as cliche as it'll sound it was like someone was calling to her. She didn't understand why but she knew she had to find something and she knew her necklace was the key.
A few days ago Adhara was on the roof of the house, counting each star and constellation she could see. Then a sudden but quick light appeared from the locket. At first Adhara thought it was something reflecting on it considering there were cars and other vehicles driving down the street. That was until a few hours later when she was about to fall asleep, she heard something faintly calling her name.
She was terrified and immediately sat up in her bed. Turning on her lamp she saw no one or thing in her room, which scared her even more. Then she heard it again and she knew she had gone mad considering her necklace just spoke her name.
She ripped the necklace off and threw it across the room watching it land on the top of her desk. Her heavy breathing was the only thing that could be heard. She slowly got up and off her bed before she could reach for it, it shone a bright color once more. Adhara yelped and backed away, she stood still hoping her shout of terror didn't wake the entire house up. The portraits tend to get angry when they don't have their full hours of sleep.
