The sun started to rise slowly outside when Beth opened her eyes. She noticed Loki was still lying right next to her. He stayed for the night which made Beth wonder. Usually, he left her for the night. Why not last night? She turned over to face him and snuggled against him. Loki started to wake up slowly and let out a yawn. He pulled Beth really close so his chest and held her. But then something abruptly changed. Faster than Beth could see, he jumped out of the bed. He quickly changed into his godlike clothes with the helmet and the scepter. While doing so, he mumbled to himself. >>Oh no. No! Please not.<< Beth sat up in her bed and watched for a few seconds before she got involved. >>Is everything alright, Loki?<< she asked. He looked at her in shock. >>No. I should have been somewhere else at dusk. They needed me to be there. I don't know what they will do now.<< Loki seemed worried. Then he came over to the bed and kissed Beth. >>Please, stay here and stay safe. I don't want to lose you, now that I found you, my pet Beth.<< he said looking straight into her eyes before he vanished.

Beth felt worried. Something was wrong and she was worried that something bad could happen to him. His words from last night got back into her head. >...I did this to end something that could harm not just New York. It could mean world war...<

Beth jumped out of bed. She stuffed a slice of pizza into her mouth and jumped into the clothes that were lying on the floor from yesterday. There was no other way. She needed to inform her friends The Avengers about it. While stuffing another slice of pizza into her mouth, she called Wanda. >>Hey Wanda, it's me, Beth. Someone needs to pick me up asap and bring me to Stark tower.<< While listening to Wanda on the other end of the call, she collected all her important things and walked to the door. Beth hung up the phone, threw it into her handbag and walked out of her apartment. Downstairs in front of her house, Thor was already waiting. >>That was fast!<< Beth exclaimed. >>I've been here for a while. I thought Loki would show up, and then Wanda called.<< he said in a cold tone. Since when did Thor have a mobile phone? But that was nothing she wanted to think about now.

Thor brought her to Stark Tower. When they arrived at the Stark tower everyone was already there waiting. Beth stormed to Tony. >>So, what's up? Any news on Loki?<< he asked. It took her a few seconds to clear her thoughts from worry about Loki and just be clear. >>He's up to something. We spend the night together and an hour ago when he woke up, he panicked and left in a hurry. He told me he should've been somewhere else where something was about to happen at dusk.<< The others exchanged a few worried looks. Then Bucky got up and walked to the paned Tony used to show the others everything with. He looked at Tony.
>>He's meeting up with Hydra. They used to meet somewhere in the early morning hours so nobody would be up and awake to disturb them.<< he said with a serious tone in his voice. Beth got even more worried now. Loki and Hydra definitely sounded pretty dangerous. >>So, what do you suggest Bucky? We destroyed Hydra. Do you really think it's them?<< Steve asked. Bucky just nodded. >>I'm sure. There where a lot of people following Hydra. You never know when or where someone gets mad and plans something.<< That sounded plausible. But right now, there was nothing, that they could do. Tony took Beth by the hand. >>You definitely need to stay here. If Loki wants you to be safe, we're gonna take care of that. You can stay in one of the guest rooms.<< Beth appreciated the effort and knew that Tony meant to be nice, but Loki insisted that she should stay at home. >>Tony, I know you mean well, but I don't think Stark tower is safe. Loki said I should stay at home.<< Wanda and Nat came up to her. >>We'll stay with you, Beth. At least until we are needed somewhere else if anything happens.<< Everyone was ok with that idea, so Wanda, Beth and Nat got into one of Starks cars with Beth and drove to her apartment in Queens.

Hours went by while they waited for something to happen or any news on Loki. The three of them used it pretty well to discuss what Sex with Loki had been. >>So, you really, did it?<< Wanda asked. Beth blushed. >>Yes, and it was amazing.<< They chuckled. >>Yeah, I can imagine that. He looks like he can certainly satisfy.<< Nat said. Even though Beth was happy to not be alone and to have found such good friends, she was still worried about Loki. She got up from the floor where she sat so Wanda and Nat could sit on the couch and walked through the room. The feeling of helplessness made Beth crazy, and she felt like a tiger in a cage. >>Don't worry. I'm sure they are going to find and secure him.<< Wanda explained, but Beth wasn't so sure. When she stood in front of her kitchen sink, she took a glass and poured herself some water. Out of nowhere there was a thunder cracking outside of the house. Thor! Nat opened the door for him, and he stepped inside Beth's appartement. He had a serious look on his face. >>Please tell me there are good news, Thor!<< Beth mumbled under her breath. Thor's look suddenly changed into a sad look. >>The good news is, we found him. The bad news is, he's in no good condition.<< Beth gripped her glass tighter and her breathing got heavy. Wanda walked over to her and pulled her into a hug. >>Shhh... Don't worry. I'm sure Tony can do something for him.<< It was hard not to think about Loki being hurt. Wanda pulled on of the chair from the table and made Beth sit down and drink. >>Can I see him?<< Beth asked. Thor shook his head >>Not now. We don't know what they did to him. I don't want you to see him like this. Stark takes good care of him, believe me.<< She wanted to see him, but everything Thor said sounded too terrifying. The only thing Beth could do now was to wait and hope that Loki got better soon. >>Nat, I'm gonna stay with Beth for a little longer. You can go with Thor and find out what they did to Loki.<<

Nat and Thor left. Wanda knelt next to Beth who was still sitting on the table thinking about Loki. She tried to concentrate and focus to feel what he felt, to get at least a tiny connection. But there was nothing. It took her some time to get her head back to reality. Wanda still knelt there worried. >>I know you have a power too, Beth<< she said when Beth was finally back with her mind. >>You can feel what other people feel.<< Beth shrugged her shoulders. >>I never saw it as a power. Sometimes it's more of a burden to feel hurt or pain of people you love.<< Wanda smiled at her. Then the two of them talked for a bit to distract each other.
