"Well... you're always at work and never try to spend time with us or when we visit Danielle!" I hear my mom shout from downstairs. I'm in my room sitting on my bed, trying not to listen to their arguing. I hate it when they argue, it scares me a lot and I feel like my family is falling apart. So I decided to call up Brandon to see if he could hang out with me, but before I could I hear, "You know what, I'm leaving!" My dad shouts and enters the parent's bedroom. I got up from the bed and slowly look through the door. He goes to his closet and grabs a bunch of clothes out into a black duffel bag. "Dad, where are you going?" I asked, "Take care of your mother." He says and then zips his bag and walks out of the room. I hear the front door slam and after that a car starting. I sigh, this has been the second time they fought. Same subject too. Dialing Brandon's number, I feel an anxiety attack creeping, this ... cannot be happening..., "Hello?" Brandon answers, I lift the phone closer to my ear, "Hey Brandon, are you busy?"

"No, why? Want to hang out?"

"Yeah, my house."

"Alright see ya in ten."

"Okay, bye."

I end the call and put the phone back on my bed stand. I took my time to get down the stairs and see my mom, sitting on the couch with her palms covering her eyes, which are probably smeared with makeup. "Mom? Are you okay?" I ask gently, she sniffles quietly and she looked at me with a slight smile. I lower down to sit next to her and put my arms around her tightly. And she holds me.

Few minutes passed staying in the same position, "Alright, I need to uh run some errands and by more food." She says while wiping her face, "No! No, mom? You look like you need to relax for today. I wouldn't go  out to the store for now. How about I go to the store for you and you will clean yourself up and relax. Now go, go upstairs!" I pull her towards the stairs and I run back. "Text me what you need mom!"

"O-ok!"

A while after, a short car horn sound came from outside.  Making sure I have everything in my purse because I know I always forget that one thing. "I'm going mom! See you in a bit!" I shout to my mom for her to hear from upstairs. I wait for a response back, but soon it was just silence. I assumed she was showering or sleeping right now so I open the door, lock it and shut it behind me. I look ahead, snowflakes were falling from the bright, gray sky while I make my way to Brandon's car, stepping on new snow. "Hey." He said barely over a whisper, "Hi." I breathed out, I buckle myself to the cold seat giving my shivers. "Are you cold?" He asks me, I just nod in reply and he turns the heat all the way to the maximum. The hot air took a little bit to get warmer and we just sat there in silence. "So uh where-?" He says, "Oh right, the grocery store, I have to run some errands." He nods, "So what's up?" He then asks while he's exiting from the driveway. I explained what happened about the fight between my parents to him."Wow, so your dad just left? That's it?" He scoffs, I nod my head. "He just left, he didn't tell where he was going or when he was going to come back. Just ran out the door." I reply, I hope he comes back. "So um, whose Danielle?" He asks, I never really talked about her, since she's my only younger sibling, she got diagnosed with severe depression. I'm not sure why but she's been in the hospital for about a year now. It's really hard to talk to her and it really hurts knowing that she harmed herself and she really is beautiful. I just get really emotional when I talk to and about her. "I'm sorry, I never meant to be nosy. We don't have to talk about her if you don't want too." He says, I didn't even realize that I was crying. I wipe my eyes with the sleeves of my crappy sweater. Brandon continues to drive, his chocolate like hair was straight instead of curly under his black beanie. Honestly, he's the most gorgeous guy I've ever seen. But it'd be kind of awkward if I actually liked him that way. Just because we're to close of friends and well... lets just say he's big fan of the LGBT community, "Iza." He says, interrupting my thoughts, "We're here!". I pull the lever of the car door and step onto the ragged concrete. The neon letters on the roof of the building, flickered on and off. "Could you get a cart?" I ask him and he runs up behind me and picks me up. "What?! Are you..." I trailed off while he puts me in the cart, "I never said to carry me into the cart." I said, with a little sarcasm. "I know, but you need to cheer up. I hate seeing you so sad and serious." He sighs, and pushes the cart into the grocery store. "Aren't I heavy though?" I look at my stomach, I have gained some weight ever since Bree has been literally ruining my life. It was not stress eating, it was just eating a lot of food when you can't do anything but be ... stressed so technically yes I eat when I'm stressed, "Not at all, in fact you're fit. Unlike those gross Barbies who are basically bones and plastic." I laugh with him, they are just made of bones and plastic. "Well thank you, Brandon." "No problem, Iza." and he pushes the cart faster on our way to the first item on the errands list.
