BTW Katniss is alive now. I dont know which boy went into the games........ Yet.... Muwahahahaha!!! Oh and it is now the 102nd annual hunger games!!! YAY!!!

Xavier Odair

"Mum, Dad why do we have to leave?" I complain for like the millionth time, I know why but I just don't want to go so I annoy them. "Xavier you know exactly why, now grab your stuff and we are getting on that train" My Dad orders me. I go and grab my stuff and plonk it by the front door, I turn around to see mum off in her daze again, like she ever isn't. But I'm not being mean, I love her and all and I know that the Capitol tortured her to get answers but still!!!

We board the train with our carry on luggage as the Capitol call it. I take one last look at my old district, district 4 and sit down in my carriage. Most people can't even afford the train ride but my dad is a victor and I don't like trains. It's what people ride to the hunger games, and my Dad went into the hunger games..... And won which I wouldn't be alive so yeah.......

I walk over to my bags and open them up poking around them until I find what I am looking for, my journal of remembrance thingy. It is a book of all the hunger games, the people in it, what happened and how they died or won. Dad helped me start it, he was the person that started it all the way back from the games when he was 12 and then he has done it up to now.

I lay down on my bed and open up the book, the first face I see is the smiling girl from district one. I sigh and close the book because frankly looking at people who die who were in this train, even in this cabin doesn't improve my mood. I hear Dad talking to Mum quietly "We're still here, Xavier is next door you can go back to sleep". "Ok Finnick... I trust you night".

I hear Dad take a deep breath once Mum was asleep, he gets out of bed and pads into the kitchen part. I wander in there myself because I want to talk to him alone. I creep up behind him and tap him on the shoulder and he jumps. "Wow Xavier you scared me.... That will help you." Dad says with a saddened smile. He doesn't not talk about the games and he doesn't talk about them a lot. He talks about them like he talks about school.

I get straight to the point like I usually do and ask Dad what I have wanted to ask him since we got here, like on the train. "Hey Dad I have been meaning to ask you.... Do whenever you step onto a train do you feel like a bit scared?" Dad looks at Mums room and motions to my room for me to follow. I nod and silently walk in behind him, he goes and sits down on the bed and grabs my journal and lays it on his lap.

"Xavier, I always feel scared whenever I get onto a train... Do you know why I booked these exact two rooms? It was because I am sleeping in the room I was in and you are sleeping in my... my... my sister's room." I lean over and hug Dad as he cries softly. "Your sister went in?' I ask "Yeah, the reaping where I was nineteen and had had the hunger games two years before that, I couldn't do anything because of my age".

We finally arrive at the train station for district seven and the first thing I notice is there is no sea but there is a forest. I always knew this of course but seeing it for the first time and realising that this is where you will stay for the rest of your life and never go back is weird.

We get to the house and I automatically start searching the house for a suitable room that I can sleep in. There are a couple of rooms that I like and I finally settle on the room which has a sloping ceiling and a window that looks out into the forests. The forests, not the sea the forests, and it's starting to get to me, that I won't ever have the water rush over my toes and body again.
