Lexa's pov

I was pacing in the throne room with a knot in my stomach, worrying about Clarke's well being. My warriors were supposed to be back already.

I regretted leaving her at the mountain so baddy, I couldn't sleep. I really messed up but I really wanted to try and make things better between us. Mostly, I wanted to apologize.

I couldn't get the kiss out of my mind, after Costia I thought that I could never love again. But Clarke, she was special and I ruined everything like I always did. I needed her to be alright, there was so much more to our story, this was only the beginning.

"Heda." One of my warrior said before busting into the room.

My eyes flew to them but quickly made their way to Clarke. I felt my whole body relax at the sight of the beautiful blo- read head? Her hair was dyed pink in the bottom, it really did suit her. I mean everything on her looked nice.

"Thank you." I said nodding to show appreciation.

I walked to Clarke and took the tissue off of her mouth.

"I am really sorry we had to meet like this Clarke." I said gently as they made her stand up.

She stood still and ignored me.

"Leave us." I said talking to the warriors.

"Clarke." I said trying to come closer to her.

"Don't." She said sternly putting her hand in front herself.

"Clarke...." I said softer, trying to reach for her.

"I swear to God. Don't fucking touch me." She said with venom laced in her voice.

My heart ached a little at her tone.

"Clarke I sincerely apologize for what happened at the mountain but I had to protect my people." I said formally, grasping my hands together.

"Drop the act commander. I want to talk with Lexa." She said angrily.

"You are talking with her." I said keeping my emotionless face.

"You know that I can read your eyes Lexa." Clarke said a little bit softer.

"I don't know what you are talking about." I said lying through my teeth.

"Fine if you are going to be like that." She said angrily.

She paced in the room sighing.

"Why am I even here?" She asked crossing her arms over her chest.

"I wanted to make sure that you were alright." I sighed.

"Well as you can see I am perfectly fine. Can I go back now?" She asked annoyed.

"Go back where Clarke?" I asked crossing my arm over my chest.

"I-." She tried but knowing she didn't have anywhere to go she rolled her eyes.

"Clarke you live in the woods, it's not safe. You could make Polis your home." I said softly.

"So now you want to show that you care." She said huffing.

"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked putting my mask back on.

I hated that she made me care.

"It means that when you kissed me you showed me your feelings but then you left me when I needed you the most and now you kidnap me and show me that you care a little bit. It doesn't work like this Lexa, you can't just turn your switch on and off when you want. I have feelings too and you hurt me." She said with tears brimming in her eyes.
