Clarke's pov
I was sitting in the back of the class, my usual spot. I was listening to my boring teacher, he was talking about World War Two. I had one of my earphone in and was listening to Ribs by Lorde, this song made me feel some sort of way, I couldn't explain it. It was clearly one of my favorite songs.
This past year had been kind of dark for me after my dad died and the only things that made me happy were drawings and music. I didn't have friends, I liked being alone, it made me feel more comfortable. I wasn't much of a talkative person either, it was hard to take me out of my shell and not a lot of people had the patience to. I didn't blame them I was hard to be with, but once you got to know me you could see how I really was. I was patient and a very good listener, I loved hearing about people's problem and never got bored, I could get clingy, I was very very affectionate.
I was sketching the weather, it was currently raining.
I loved rain, it made me feel safe and it relaxed me. It was my favorite weather by far.
My song ended and I heard a knock on the door. I turned my attention away from the drawing and saw a girl walk in the class, I couldn't see her face clearly she had on hood on her head.
"Guys we have a new student, Lexa Woods." He said reading his file.
Lexa Woods. Interesting name.
"Lexa, You may go sit next to Clarke in the back." He said gesturing to me.
She took her hood off as she started walking towards me. My mouth dropped open, my stomach flipped, heat was working it's way to my face. She was gorgeous. Our eyes met and I think I never wanted to look away. Her green eyes were piercing through my soul and went straight to my heart. My heart starting beating faster maybe this year wasn't going to be so bad.
I couldn't stop glancing at her completely drenched hair, they were brown and had messy curls which made her even more attractive. Her lips were full, plump, pink and looked so soft. Her cheek bones were high and her jawline looked as sharp and as detailed as a knife.
She soon reached my table and took sat next to me.
"Hey, I am Lexa." She said smiling widely.
She was so cute.
"Clarke." I mumble.
Was I actually talking to her?
"You're pretty." She said smiling.
I was blushing, hard.
"Thank you, y- you too." I said shyly.
You are way more than pretty.
She smiled at me before grabbing the earphone that was laying on the table and putting it in her ear. She was bold and oddly, I liked that.
I don't know how but I found myself sketching her in front of the window. The drawing was in black and white except for her eyes, which were forest green, my new favorite color.
The bell rung and she kept the earphone in her ear.
"I like the rain. Wanna ditch?" She asked smiling.
Would I normally ditch class with a beautiful stranger who made me get out of my comfort zone, no. Was I going to this time, yes.
"Yes." I said a small smiling forming on my lips.
"Alright then." She said smiling.
She took my hand and ran out of the school.
I hated physical touch. Hated.
