Trust me

Chapter 8

The Drunn left after taking what it wanted and only a deadly silence filled the air. The gem was dark as night when a heartbeat began. It soon went from a small beat to a loud boom and the magic in the gem exploded. When it touched the Drunn, it blasted it away and people who weren't stone, got to see it work its magic.

The clouds in the sky crowded before crying down. The raindrops fell onto the ground and onto the people who were stone. Raya opened her eyes and gasped when she got a breath of fresh air once again. She looked around and saw Namaari open her eyes in shock and realized she was alive. She looked towards Raya who let out a breathy laugh. They had done it. They beat the Drunn.

"Raya!" She turned and saw Bao grab her in a tight embrace. She laughed before looking at him and pressing her lips against his once more. He picked her up before dipping her in a loving kiss. Namaari watched with a sad smile.

"Ew! I just got back and this is what I see?" Boun exclaimed as he pretended to gag as he saw Raya and Bao kissing. Raya stood up laughing when she realized everyone was back. She ruflled Boun's hair as Tong lifted Noi in celebration. They did it. They beat the Drunn.

Raya realized there was an opening and pointed. "There. We can get out" she said. Bao nodded as Tong began to climb up and helping Bao up who helped Raya up. Raya leaned down to Namaari who looked at her in curiosity. "Come on dep la. You saved the world" she spoke. Namaari gave a sad smile before taking Raya's hand, realizing it fit well in hers.

They all stood up as the rain poured, and watched as people embraced each other and cried. Raya then remembered her ba. Was he okay? Was he confused? Was he hurt? Questions ran through her head.

"Bao!" Raya turned her head to see an older man maybe close to her Ba's age and a small boy running towards Bao. She realized it was his father and brother. "Ba!" Bao yelled in excitement before his father gathered him in a tight embrace. Bao felt tears prickle his eyes when he felt a tug on his pants. He looked down to see his little brother looking up at him.

"Hey em trai!" He picked up the small boy before hugging him close. Bao's father noticed Raya standing close to Bao. "And who's this?' He asked. Raya walked forward and smiled. "Hi, Bao's father. I'm Raya of Heart" she introduced herself. The older man's eyebrows rose in realization. "Princess Raya?" He asked surprised. Raya gave a soft smile and nodded. "Yeah. Your son did you proud. He helped us stop the Drunn" she informed as she placed a hand on his shoulder. The older man smiled proudly at his son who was still holding his younger brother.

"Raya!" The girl turned to see Namaari waving her over. "Oh! I gotta go. I'll see you soon" Raya gave Bao a quick peck before running off to Namaari. Bao's father chuckled. "Treat her good" he said. Bao nodded.

"What's going on?" Raya asked as she ran over to Namaari. Namaari bit her lip before reaching into her pocket taking something out, before opening her fist and showed Raya her hair cuff from when they were young. Raya's eyes widened.

"The cuff...w-where did you.." she trailed off as she looked at it in relief. Namaari brushed a piece of her hair behind her ear. "I uh...Found it back in Tail. When I was looking for you" she explained. Raya put the cuff in her pocket before hugging the taller woman. "Thank you dep la" she whispered as she hugged the girl. Namaari hugged the girl back. "Anytime" she responded.

Raya rolled through the woods on Tuk Tuk. The sun was beginning to set and the air began to get a little colder. She spotted the rock that the Heart palace sat upon. She felt the sun beat on her skin when she arrived on the bridge. It looked just like it did back when she was only a small girl.

She got off Tuk Tuk before noticing a man limping on the bridge. He picked up a broken flag as his shoulder's shrank in defeat. She walked a little closer. "Ba?" She asked hesitantly. The man turned and revealed it was him. She felt her heart jump with joy. He looked just like he did when she was young.

"Dewdrop?" He asked as he dropped the flag, not caring about the loud sound it made. His little girl was in front of him! Raya let out a broken sob before running towards the man and jumping into his arms. She cried as he hugged her close, running his hand through her hair and giving her a quick kiss on her cheek. He then pulled away and examined the scars she had on her face. He lightly touched the one on her brow and looked at the one that went across her nose.

"It's okay. I'm okay" she said. He gave the scar on her nose a soft kiss before pulling her into another hug which she happily returned. He then sensed another presence and looked up and gasped when he saw Sisu.

"Is that really her?" He asked. Raya nodded. "Chief Benja" Sisu began. "Your daughter did you proud. Hope you don't mind; she brought some friends" she said. Appeared all 4 lands. Talon, Tail, Spine and Fang. All the people from the lands all bowed to the chief of heart. Benja looked in shock. Bao walked from the crowd and towards Raya and her father.

"Chief Benja...Your daughter she...she saved the world. And she is very beautiful-" Bao stopped himself at what he said. Benja looked at him suspicion while Raya giggled. He didn't know the actual specifics but he knew they were more than friends. "B-brave. Is what I meant to say. Ahem...She brought Kumandra back" he gestured to the people that stood on the bridge.

Raya turned to her Ba. "Ba...Welcome to Kumandra" she said. Benja looked at his daughter in relief before everyone began to follow their leaders into heart, bowing when they passed Benja. Bao linked his arm with Raya and she linked her other with her father as they followed.

This was it. The Drunn were gone and Kumandra was alive again. Nothing could get in the way to their happy ending. Nothing.
