Chapter 2

6 years later...

Sweat ran down Raya's brow as she and Tuk Tuk rolled through the desert. The sun beat down on her back and the hat barely helped, only making her hotter. She then noticed a few figures further away and retrieved her sword just in case. However, she realized the people were stone. She put her sword back before moving away. She didn't notice a figure watching her.

She stopped on the top of the cliff and opened her map that showed all of Kumandra. All over the map showed X's in places where she couldn't find Sisu. She sighed as she closed the map. "Please let this be it" she whispered to herself. She then jumped when Tuk Tuk began to follow a bug. "Woah, hey down Tuk Tuk, focus" she pulled at his saddle which caused him to stop. "You're so easily distracted" she chuckled. The a Drunn appeared in front of her, causing her and Tuk Tuk to fall. She noticed her purse where she held the gem piece was located and grabbed it quickly before shoving it up, making Drunn go away.

She sighed in exhaustion when she noticed Tuk Tuk on his back. She groaned as she picked him up and getting him on his feet. "You're getting a little big for this bud'' she commented and he only groaned.

A figure sat on a Serlot that stood on a cliff, watching Raya. They then watched as Raya rolled away to her destination. The Serlot growled before following the girl.

Raya and Tuk Tuk walked hesitantly to the shipwreck. "6 years of searching and we end up at a literal shipwreck. That's not a bad sign, is it?" she asked hesitantly. She then walked into the shipwreck, moving the curtains and slowly walking in. She bit her lip as she looked at the water and only prayed that it was a good sign...maybe.

The figure on the Serlot appeared in front of the shipwreck and jumped off his Serlot. The serlot growled in question but he put his hand on his snout to shush him. Tuk Tuk noticed the figure and growled when the figure offered him treats. Tuk Tuk got distracted and the figure walked in.

He then removed his hood and revealed to be a boy. He was about 18 and tall. He had a man bun and almond shaped eyes. Raya was on her knees with the Sisu pendent and placed it on the cup. She began to sing a mantra, not noticing the boy behind her. He had his hand on his sword when he heard her voice. It sounded beautiful. 

She sighed as silence took over the boat. The boy was about to make his first move, when he noticed the water beginning to move. He frowned in confusion and then made a sound of shock when he saw the water beginning to float and create something.

Raya noticed too and stood up as a figure appeared. "W-where am I? Amba, Pranee? Pangu?" she called out a few names. "Oh, mighty Sisu!" Raya said as she made a gem with her hand. The dragon's tale then hit the girl and knocked her over. Sisu looked over in surprise. "Who said that?" she then realized she hit the girl. "Oh! Sorry! Didn't mean to knock you down there" she said as she helped her up.

The boy watched as the girl stood up and when she wiped her face from dirt, he saw her beauty. His heart soared at the sight of her. She was beautiful, with a scar on her left eyebrow and a faint scar across her nose that he assumed she had gotten from fighting and she had the prettiest eyes that you can get lost in. However, those eyes held anger when he realized she was staring right at him.

"You!" she exclaimed. Sisu looked to where Raya was looking and saw him. "Oh!" she then used her tail to pick him up. "Is this your boyfriend?" she asked. Raya took out her sword ready to fight. "No. He's from Fang. Our enemy" she said. Sisu looked at her confusion. "Enemy?" she asked. The boy then squirmed out of Sisu's grasp and fell to the floor on his bottom.

"What are you doing here?" Raya demanded. The boy lifted his hands up in surrender. "Woah, hey. It's okay. I'm Bao." he introduced himself. Raya's glare deepened and he couldn't help but admire the cute little dent her forehead made when she did.
