Chapter 2

SCARLETT POV :

I wake up to the sound of someone leaving my driveway.I look out my window and see that it's my dad probably going to go to work or go get wasted with his friends.I scoff thinking about it.

I look at my alarm it reads 6:31 am well better get ready for school.

I walk to my dresser and grab a pair of black leggings and a a black tank top and then a white hoodie over it to cover my scars.Then I grab some wanna be white low top convers.After I get dressed I comb my hair grab a granola bar grab my satchel and head out to go to school since I walk I have to leave home early as possible.

Since I live pretty far from my school I get tired easily.

Then I hear a voice behind me and turn around to see.

JOSH POV :

I cant stop thinking about that girl she had beautiful eyes unforgettable actually.But how did she know me is the big question.Did I know her shes stunning so I doubt I could forget her.

When I walk out of my house to go to school I see Mindy at my doorstep.Ugh what does she want now.Mindy is a very rude and popular girl yeah I guess shes pretty but thats with her makeup ive never seen her whit out it soo I honestly don't know how she looks.

"Mindy can I help you?"

"Yes joshy the guy I was looking for "she says while batting her obviously fake lashes.

"Yeah what do you need"

"I need a ride to school since you have a car and mines at the shop soo what do you say"

"Yeah shure hop in"I say.

---------while driving----------------------

I see Mindy laugh at a girl we're driving behind.

"Hey luser did you have to buy your clothes from a thrift shop "mindy yells at a girl.

Then when the girl turns around its none other than that girl.That girl I accidentally hit yesterday.

"Hey Mindy cut it out"I say.

"It was getting funny joshy shes a weirdo why do you care"she snorts.

I ignore Mindys comment and try to get the girls attention.

"Hey girl need a ride somewhere?"I ask.

She just nodds and mumbles a please while looking at her shoes.

"Hop in " I say.

"The back of course"Mindy says while rolling her eyes.

I wonder how Mindy knows the girl.

"Where you need to go girl"I ask.

"School"she mummbles again.

"Okay but what school" I ask a little annoyed is she trying to act dumb really.

SCARLETT POV:

"Where you need to go girl?"josh asks.

Wow he really doesnt know me huh I knew I was practically invisible but I didnt know it was that bad since Mindy obviously notices me.

"School"I mumble while playing with the strap of my satchel.

"Okay but what school"he says annoyed.

Okay thats it if hes ganna act like that then I'll have to act back.

"Your school duh you idiot"I snap.

I leave him with a blank face.

I cant take him or mindy anymore im done.

He was about to say something but I opened the car door while the car is driving and then run out its not the first time so I dont fall I just run.

Then I hear "what a weirdo"come out Mindys mouth.
