"Once again, another report of a giant animal was made by tourists on a cruise just off the coast of Brazil. This is another of many 'sightings' of giant quirk animals that have been increasing for the past years. Scientists have assured the public that these new species pose no greater threat to humanity, though other countries have been vocal in asking for more military action as a response-"
The video was paused as an image of a creature came on screen. It was dark and a bit blurry, but managed to capture most of the shape and form. A distant shot of a group of mountains and hills, covered with trees. But lying in a valley between two tall brown mountains was a giant creature. Walking on all fours, the creature had a large head structure that looked like a helmet. On the creature's back was a collection of giant spikes. The details of the face were difficult to see, but there appeared to be another giant spike on its nose. The rest was too blurry to make out.
Which wasn't a problem for Izuku. With a piece of paper in hand, he began drawing the basic form. A big circle for its head, an arch for the thing on top of its head, a bigger arch for the back, four lines for the limbs. Then the details. The spikes on the face, where its eyes could be, the many spikes on its body, the legs. Then he started getting creative, adding a long tail, spikes on its knees, and then a bigger spike at the end of the tail.
He looked at his work proudly. It wasn't as good as what he would have wanted it, but it was better than what he thought it would look. Better than what a 7-year-old usually could draw. A good addition to the rest. He walked to his shelf and grabbed a binder. Izuku opened the binder and skimmed through the many plastic sleeves, some with drawings of other creatures and heroes, and settled for an empty one to put his new drawing.
Satisfied, he placed the binder back and returned to the computer and searched another video. This new one began with a dark and blurry shot, sirens coming out of the speakers. The screen was occasionally lit with the light of the fires being recorded. There were screams of distress and explosions in the distance. The person recording was clearly panicking, given how shaky it was. Then, a loud laugh pierced through the noise. Not dark and malicious, but proud and brave. The camera turned to the sound, and a silhouette of a man appeared. The man who was recording shouted, "He's laughing!". The man entered the light, revealing people in his arms and on his shoulders.
"It is fine now!" the man said confidently. "Why?"
Izuku felt a thrill of anticipation, lips and voice following echoing the man's next words.
"Because I am here!"
"Because I am here!" Izuku shouted, jumping from the computer chair in excitement.
"Izuku, are you watching that All Might video again?" his mother asked through the door. He opened the door to see his mother smiling at him exasperated. He vigorously nodded his head.
"Yes mama! He's so brave and cool and he always gets the people out! I wanna be a hero like him someday!"
His mother laughed good-naturedly, before directing him to his room. "Well if you want to be a good hero, the first place to start is to not be late when meeting up your friends."
Izuku looked up at her confused, before a panicked looked appeared on his face. He ran to his room, grabbed his towel, and quickly entered the shower. Inko just chuckled as Izuku came out of the shower, hair still wet, running back to his room and appearing dressed. All of which took less than 3 minutes.
"Honey your hair is still wet. And your shorts are on backwards." The boy looked down and saw the predicament, sending a sheepish smile to his mother. Shaking her head exasperated, she helped him wear the shorts properly and dry his hair.
