Izuku couldn't stop doodling. A nervous energy filled his limbs and he didn't know where to put it. So he manifested it into the lines of his pencil on his notebook. A small curve on the paper became a sketch of a long necked creature that was on the news a few nights ago. Reportedly seen eating fish off the coast. Heroes and coast guards found nothing though.

A circle in another page turned into a giant eye ball based on the sketch of a hiker who got lost in the mountains in Belgium. The forum and video was all the info available he could find though. She'd reportedly been following a well-used trail, when the ground opened up beneath her, revealing the giant eye. Izuku imagined what could be connected beneath the eyeball, a gigantic stalk like in snails, or a scaly brow.

Triangles became spikes of the silhouette from the cryptid watcher's website he would lurk sometimes. It was a cryptid seen in the Pacific, from the camera of a seaman of a cargo ship. They said that it was bigger than the ship, and moved quickly, disappearing into the deep. They said the spikes glowed blue, so Izuku used a blue pen to color highlights to the sketch. He paused, and saw 5 whole pages' worth of doodles. A quick glance to the clock, and he saw that he still had a long way to go before he could go home. He sighed, leg fidgeting impatiently.

He'd been in school for 3 hours and he was already itching to leave. The writings in his notes had already dissolved into doodles already. He barely remembered what his teacher was talking about, and didn't even remember when they left history and started on science. It wasn't normal for him to be so inattentive in class. But he was up all night, waiting for...

For what exactly? He didn't know. It's been 3 years since he got an answer from him. And it's been 3 years of since Katsuki abandoned him. And 3 years later, he was still waiting.

For what? Answers? Why he suddenly disappeared? Why, when they went home that night, Kacchan ran? That anger in his voice? His eyes that looked so...

"Terrified," he mumbled.

"Midoriya!"

He jumped at the call. His teacher was glaring at him from the front, chalk in hand and ready to throw at his head it seemed.

Great, now he pissed off the teacher.

"Stand up please."

Izuku blushed deeply as he slowly rose from his seat. He could hear giggles around him, and that made him bow his head in embarrassment.

"Glow Worm's probably busy sketching monsters again," he heard someone whisper behind him.

"Nah, it's probably that stupid hero notes again."

His shoulders hunched into itself, a sick feeling sitting itself in his chest.

"Since you're so busy not listening," that brought another round of snickers, "may you please share to us what's been taking your attention instead?"

He felt eyes all around him. Some were more merciful and looked away, but the majority kept their gaze trained on him. His teacher was glaring at him fiercely, and he could only bow his head in supplication.

"Nothing sir," he mumbled shakily.

"Then next time," there was a thump as his teacher's hand slammed the blackboard, "you listen instead of going into your daydreams."

The angry tone made kept the laughter down, but he could still hear taunting chuckles behind him as he sat down.

"Too bad Bakugou isn't here to save you Glow Worm." The words came as a sharp whisper from his left. But he didn't need to turn. He didn't need to get angry. There was no point. It's not like they said anything new. Or anything wrong.
